Why would anyone want to visit a place that makes them feel they might never want to leave? Beware the charm and convenience of Padua. From its daily open-air markets, to its many fine restaurants and cultural amenities, to its central location as a hub to the Veneto region this town is a trap.
Why would anyone want to spend their time in a charming, renovated apartment on one of the most charming piazzas in town? From its balcony overlooking Piazza Dei Signori, to its spacious, quiet and comfortable (three!) bedrooms, to its full kitchen you won’t be able to decide if you want to go out or stay in and cook a meal for yourself from the many fresh ingredients you’ll find just steps outside your front door. Do you really want to have an authentic Italian experience with all the comforts of home?
I’ve warned you of the town, I’ve warned you of the apartment. The only thing left to warn you about is the host. He calls himself “Giuseppe” and he will fill your head with all kinds of stuff like where the best places to eat are, as well as a little history about the town, and the apartment, which belonged to his great-grandparents. He’ll even meet you for check-in to make sure you get settled in and have everything you need, and a bottle of wine.
I feel I’ve done my duty now. I’ve warned you of the town, the apartment, and the host. If you insist on taking a vacation to some spot you may never want to leave that’s on you. Ciao, ciao!
