What we expected
As the oldest and least expensive choice in the area we weren't expecting the Ritz. We called ahead to let them know we would arrive late, and were greeted warmly when we arrived at 10 pm and told if we needed anything else just call anytime. An OK continental breakfast. Overall it was what we expected at that price.

The bed was super comfortable. We loved the walk-in shower and hand held shower head and the many safety bars in the bathroom. No vanity area, just the sink on the wall.

Alpine inn was perfect for our stay. Small room perfect for the two of us. Coffee maker in room was great. Nice simple breakfast provided in clean breakfast area. Wonderful staff.

Very quant, old fashioned hotel. We were a group of 5 couples and only stayed one night, but the rooms were clean and comfortable. We found a nice sitting area outside to gather. We would definitely consider this again if we ever come back to Pagosa Springs.

Rude person at the front desk who, when we asked to split the bill, turned to my travel companion to ask him why he doesn’t just pay for the whole thing. It wasn’t his business why we wanted to split it. We were just asking if we could. He didn’t need to be rude. Also, the bathroom wasn’t very clean in the room that we were assigned. Continental breakfast had only regular coffee (no decaf) and whole milk.
