Worst hotel experience of my life. I checked in and out within 12 hours and I stayed away so long because i couldn’t bear to be in that room. I paid $165 for a beautiful luxurious junior suite that looks nothing like the pictures online. The furniture was old and rickety, the fixtures were rusted, the carpet was dirty and smelled so bad it took over the room and though you could see the skyline from my room from far, the first thing you see close up are the galvanized roofs of buildings. This place believes the picturesque view would make up for the lack of luxury and service and constitute them charging this high amount. It is not worth it. I caught an Uber to the Hampton and saw a bus of tourists and shared that the megapolis is not a place they should ever book. They were grateful (I also told the front desk staff). I found a 5 star hotel in the city and stayed there for the other 8 hours before my flight. When I checked out from megapolis the front desk didn’t ask me anything though he could see that I checked in and out so quickly. He also didn’t want to give me a receipt and said it would be emailed. I’d stayed at 3 hotels in Panama because I had so much to do and things the first that said they couldn’t give me a receipt. After back and forth, I said I don’t see it in my email. He says let me check, then asked me to write down my email on a random food receipt he found on the desk. So he didn’t even have my email. He said again I’ll send it tomorrow….

The property is extremely big and the room are very spacious. However, the lack of service, room not properly cleaned, service taking extremely long such as asking for ice and not getting it. Asking for three beds and only receive 2. Three people on the reservation and only getting 2 towels and no wash cloth. The supervisor at the breakfast was very rude, unprofessional and disrespectful and began to speak about me in Spanish and I am Latina. Every day asking for egg white and told the next day they will have and they don’t. The breakfast is overrated. The tv didn’t work on day 2 it had to be replaced. I spoke to the general manager Ricardo and he said was going to contact me back and he hasn’t. He also said because I booked through Expedia that he couldn’t compensate me for all the inconveniences and said he was going to talk to corporate. But the view is absolutely beautiful both in the day and night. A good central location and if you gamble there is a casino to enjoy next door. This hotel is overrated it seems as though this used to be the hard rock hotel. For the price of this hotel you would expect the best level of service and you don’t. They have no sense of urgency.

PROS: The hotel is beautiful. Rooms had a lot of space and were clean. The staff were very helpful and polite. There's a mall attached to the hotel which was great for shopping and food options. Taxis were very accessible. Breakfast is included and was amazing with many daily options. CONS: There's a US$100 hold per day on your credit card which i didnt know about... if that info was sent in an email i completely missed it. We never got hot water in the shower. Even though a technician was sent it only temporarily gave us hot water, which we tried not to make it into a problem. Walls are a bit thin, could hear our neighbor walking in her heels in the room next door. All in all the cons did not outweigh the pros and we had a great stay!
