This was my third time staying at Hotel Americain, having visited once in the winter and twice in the summer. Each stay has been delightful. The hotel provides simple rooms that are safe, quiet, comfortable, clean, and spacious. The staff was polite and helpful.
My most recent trip was this June, where I stayed in a single room. The room was very cute and even had a patio, allowing me to enjoy my take-out food and wine on the balcony. Although the room doesn't have AC, coming from San Francisco where we don't use AC much, it didn't bother me at all. The WiFi connection was good and the bed was comfy—just what I needed.
The Marais area is the only place I want to stay when I visit Paris. I'm fortunate to have local friends who live here, so I might be biased, but I truly believe it is the best neighborhood in Paris. The hotel is next to the best boulangerie, and a few minutes' walk takes you to the open market Marche des Enfants Rouges. The area is filled with wine shops, brasseries, vintage shops, boutiques, and charming mom-and-pop stores on every corner.
Overall, Hotel Americain offers a fantastic experience, and I can't wait for my next stay!
