The staff at the hotel was super kind and friendly, always greeting me warmly and offered good advices on where to dine. I enjoyed the restaurants they recommended, just on the next block. The room is spacious and always clean. I like the fact that I don’t need to carry the room key with me because the reception keeps it for you when you’re out.

This hotel is owned and run by an exceptional family that made us feel as though were family rather than guests. The hotel was clean comfortable and safe. We were able to walk to sites and while the streets,and sidewalks are narrow we had no issues getting to our tours on time. This is where we will always stay when we are in Paris.

For those visiting in the summer, please note that there is no air conditioning and the rooms get extremely hot. Even with two fans running and taking cold showers, the heat never really went away, which made the stay very uncomfortable. The room itself is very small, though the staff were friendly. Unfortunately, I would not stay here again during the summer.

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Baudelaire. The location couldn't be better—it's incredibly central, and we could walk to all the major attractions. Our room was small but charming, and the view from our loft room was perfect for watching the city. The owner was also so welcoming and helpful, making our trip even more enjoyable. This hotel is a fantastic choice for anyone who wants a cozy, well-located base for exploring Paris.

If this is a three start hotel, I would hate to see a two. Our room was very shabby, every single item in the room was in disrepair except the sheets (which were very clean). The bedframe was peeling, the toilet seat wouldn't stay up so it would randomly clank down on your back, the chair was coming apart and holes in the weave, bathroom light flickered on and off. No doors on the bathroom cabinets and all the floor was rust stained underneath the sink. No shampoo, just some shower gel. Tub was stained yellow with a ring around it.... The hotel is open 24/7 and right onto the street in a busy area. The lounge/seating area was covered in plastic water bottle packages. Crammed under any surface. Baggage room is a dirty closet in the basement with no one watching it. They send guests down to put their own stuff in so you have to trust your fellow guests not to take your things. Not a good system. The front desk people were a mix, the guy who checked us in wasn't particularly polite. But there was a woman who was very nice and it felt good to have someone smile and be friendly. They tried to make us pay the city tourist tax twice which felt so odd. Said they didnt have a record of it? It was the first thing we did when checking in. Overall: dingy hotel in desperate need of a facelift and a DEEP clean. Stay if you have to save $$$ but expect a roadside motel vibe, not a hotel.

The staff were very friendly and helpful with any questions we had. We stayed during extremely hot days, and there was no air conditioning in our room. It was hard for us to come back to a hot room after a fun, long day in Paris and try to sleep at night with a fan and the window open. ( We booked our room months ahead , so we didn’t know it would get that hot during our stay in Paris. ) Although, we were offered free water bottles each day and they were very helpful! The bed was comfy and the location was perfect for us.
