Generally a positive experience here, but a rough start. Staff is positive and very attentive. However, first impressions of the property leave you concerned (explained below). I booked the ocean view room, which was more of a "roof top and some ocean view", but a decent view none the less. The breakfast had alot to offer which was great, they could improve on quality of coffee, maybe include the option of espresso. The main floor pool and general area is quite nice. Ok, so the bad vibe at the beginning explaing: (1) The elevator servicing my tower is not clean and in bad repair. Walking to that box to start things off makes you really concerned about where you are going and what place you have picked. The rug is beaten up, paint and scratches everywhere, dirty and smelly. (2) After getting all unpacked, I lay down in my clean looking bed I quickly discovered a strong foul smell! Pure rot. Made me jump out of bed like the bed was on fire kind of smell! I pulled off the clean sheet to discover a very urine stained mattress cover! Housekeeping responded quickly and replaced everything, but unfortunately the offending liquid had made it's way through the mattress cover into the mattress and it was still too stinky. I am not sure how this could have been missed by housekeeping! Anyhow, as noted earlier, the front desk people are very positive and supportive and gave me three excellent options of alternate rooms to choose from. All was good from that point on. Thanks!
