The dude ranch experience was unexpected and fun. We were looking for a 3 day stay at a traditional motel to visit family. Staff was very attentive and freindly. While we didn't do many activities the environment was a great deal of fun. The great room (joint living room) with fireplace was realy special. THe chef was excellent each meal was so delious and unque in many ways. The beds do need upgrading particularly for seniors. They need to tend to some safety issues as many of the outside ground lights were not working making it hazardous to walk the walk ways after dark.

Money well spent

Everything was as described. Clean, nice house. Felt pretty private. Some noise from the highway, but not bad. We kept a couple of horses, great sized turnouts. Enjoyed watching birds and bunnies at the water in the back of house. We would definitely stay again.

The owners were very careful to tell us that the place was rustic. Only solar power and gas heating and cooking. We were there for our 13 year old granddaughter to hunt for a buck. Saw many deer, but never a buck! It is a very old house and quite interesting. If you can't stand bugs, this is not the place for you. The owners are always close by and available if any problems arise.
