No easy way to get to your room
Pools were locked (each of 3) and under repairs, meaning walking between the entrance and the building with your room was not clear, and convoluted.

Unfortunately, the property is quite old and didn’t meet my expectations. You can hear a lot of noise from neighboring rooms, and the AC unit was particularly loud. Additionally, the hotel doesn’t provide beach chairs or umbrellas, and renting them costs $55 per day. However, you can bring your own and set up on the nearby public beach. Overall, I wouldn’t choose to stay here again.

Great place, right by the beach. Had fun activites for kids, like a halloween party, and movie by the pool. Loved the boardwalk right next door, and the Gulfarium was so close.

The main heated pool was closed for repairs 2 of the 5 days we were there. Prior notification would have been nice. Other guests requested the resort fee be credited back. The Breakfast buffet was the very BEST as well as the cleaning staff...excellent and friendly!!!! Highly recommend!!

Only negative was that the heated pool was closed the entire time we were there (9 days) and our toddler couldn’t enjoy it. The group pool was too cold, ocean was chilly, and the bottom was too hot for age. Other than that everything was great, this is our 5th year staying here while on our annual family vacation.

I did not like that they closed the heated pool to work on it. It was to cold to go in the other pool-why not work on the heated pool later in the fall/winter when less people are there? They also nickel & dime you to death, but that seems to be the norm, not just here. There is a daily "resort fee". Daily parking fee, fee for chairs & umbrella (seems like that should be in the "resort fee". I think the word "Resort" is a little misleading. They did have activities for the kids and those were fun. The room was clean everyday. Grounds were kept clean. I would stay here again.

It was a great stay except the coffee machine in the room looked dirty and it should have been mentioned that one of the pools would be closed for maintenance and being charged for a chair at the pool is ridiculous the elevators were a little sketchy but overall it was a nice place to stay

My wife and I were here for 5 days in a standard king room, here were our pros and cons: Pros: clean great buffet nice beach comfortable bed Cons: Small room your curtains always need to be closed because you're on display Spotty WiFi noise easily enters the room from the outside Overall its a fine place to stay and a good value but its not going to blow anyone away with the amenities.

Our room felt like a motel. Nothing like the pictures on their website. Their heated pool was down for maintenance and was never told to us prior. Their main pool with the grotto was not swimable. It was 45 degrees! Since the heated pool was down I felt that they should have tried warming up the other pool. The staff were super nice though and the food at the Coastal kitchen was really good.

Very nicer smaller resort!
We loved this resort. It is smaller which made it so easy to get around and didn’t have to walk 5miles to do anything. They had a good variety of food and drinks including a Mexican food truck!! Also had a lot of activities throughout the day/evening. Staff were all very friendly. My only complaint is the heated pool was under construction which I wasn’t aware of when I booked it and the main pools water was so cold you couldn’t swim (even kids would stick one foot in and say nope)
