Escape to the beautiful Cornish countryside. Come our self-catering lodge between St Ives and Penzance. Where you can relax and enjoy quality time with family and friends. Get back to nature in the clean open air, and relax in true comfort, thanks to the modern facilities of this comfortable lodge, and its many personal touches. Set in 11 acres of the elegant Kenegie Manor grounds, built over 400 years ago
We are located overlooking Mounts Bay, the largest bay in Cornwall. At one end Porthleven, and at the other Mousehole. Mounts Bay has an accessible marine trail, as well as a cycle path
It is one of the few properties in the area that can provide you with a heated indoor swimming pool. Sauna room. Pitch and putt. Tennis courts. Toddlers enclosed play area. Small convenience store, and all the information to the local landmarks and attractions. A laundrette is also very close by. The pool and sauna are bookable through reception, and a payment will be due direct to them
In the evenings enjoy a meal along with your favourite tipple at The Old Forge bar and restaurant. I can personally vouch for the chefs daily specials, and his passion for quality freshly prepared dishes. All of the above is available during the season, ( mid Feb - end of Oct). There are also often special evenings laid on during the week. This is all within a 2 min stroll from your door, on firm level ground
We are also one of the very few properties here that include our own high speed WiFi for your exclusive use. Perfect for any home working
The property is pet-friendly so the whole family can join you on holiday! A pet fee does apply
As a self-catering lodge, you'll find everything you need for your perfect stay.
The kitchen has a fridge/freezer, a four ring hob and full sized oven, a toaster, a kettle and a microwave. As well as the usual array of cutlery & crockery
SaltWater lodge is the perfect place to relax. We offer a smart television, dvd player (we provide a good selection of popular dvds for you to enjoy). Alexa smart speaker, and high speed internet access.
There is selection of books to immerse yourself in. As well as some local interest books/maps. Games, jigsaws and playing cards
Our lodge has 2 bedrooms and can comfortably sleep 4 adults
In the first bedroom, you will find a double bed. Wardrobe, drawers. Bedside cabinets with lamps. Full length mirror. Hairdryer. Heating
The second bedroom contains two single beds. Wardrobe, drawers. Bedside cabinet and lamp. Full length mirror. Heating
There is one family shower room. This provides a heated towel rail. LED lit mirror, LED Downlights. Bathroom storage cabinet. Extract fan. Enclosed shower cubicle. As well as the usual bathroom facilities
Outside is a patio area for your exclusive use, and we provide you with a seated table, for your al fresco dining pleasure
Linen is included to make your stay more enjoyable. Towels are not included. But if your require them please feel free to contact me, and for a small supplement I can provide
You will be parked a few steps from the entrance door, in a reserved space. If you arrive after dark, then there is an automatic sensor light the will guide you straight to your door

Lands End, the south west tip of the mainland UK. Sennen with its fantastic surfing beaches. St Just and its mining heritage. Porthcurno, beautiful beaches and of course the world renowned Minick Theatre. Mousehole is a must visit for its winding streets. Newlyn, arts gallery, cinema, meadery. Stop here for a Cornish ice cream. Penzance has the longest promanade in Cornwall, at the Penzance end is the Jubilee Pool, its a thermaly heated outdoor bathing pool, also the ferry to the Isles of Scilly. Here in Gulval, the Tremenheere Sculpture Gardens, Agapanthus tea rooms with their stunning views out over Mounts Bay, also the heliport for The Isles of Scilly. St Ives, only 15 mins away, its the seaside hub for arts,the Tate gallery, beaches/surfing and its stunning scenery. The National Trusts St Michaels Mount, crowned by a medievil church and castle. Marazions quaint high street, sandy beaches and coastal walks and views. Porthleven for surfing and foodies. Falmouth for the Maritime Museum, sandy beaches and Pendennis Castle. The Lizard peninsula is with easy reach. Walk the coastal paths, at each turn another hidden cove or sandy beach. In the past famous for smuggling!
Slightly further, Truro, and of course the Eden Project. There is so much more to see and do in this designated area of "outstanding natural beauty"
Just down the road in the village of Gulval, is the The Coldstreamer Inn. Serving good food, and beverages daily. In a rural village pub setting. The opposite side of the villge square is Gulval church, parts of which date from the 12th century. The clock tower from 1440

Lodge is one of two lodges adjacent to each other. So for larger bookings please do contact. We can accommodate up to eight people in the two lodges
Public transport is not a problem. Penzance train station is nearby, as is the Penzance bus terminal. A taxi rank is just outside of both stations. Or SaltWater is on the Penzance to St Ives bus route. Line 200, or line 16. Both stop at Kenegie Manor
Three major supermarkets are within easy reach. Tesco, Sainsbury and Morrisons. Penzance has a Lidl, Co Op, Asda Express and a Tesco Express
Checkin is via a lockbox

- Smoking is not allowed within SaltWater, but outside is fine
- Included is free parking right outside of the lodge. Additional free parking is nearby in the overflow carpark
- Pets are allowed at the property. One well behaved pet only. Not in the bedrooms please, and not on the furniture. A seperate pet fee of £30 is changeable per booking. Payable as an additional payment direct. Please contact, and I will give you the payment details
Please leave the lodge as you found it. Ready for housekeeping to refresh for the next guests. Thank you
*Please note. Some of Kenegies facilities are chargeable. Payment for these can be made at reception. Including the pool and sauna
**Please note. There is NOT an electric car charging facility at Kenegie. However they can be found nearby. Please do not plug into SaltWaters electrical systems as you will cause permanent damage. When the property is vacent please turn off the electric heating
