Extremely noisy walls paper thin being woke up at 2.30 AM with drunks coming into the hotel then at 6 AM by screaming kids doors slamming etc
Horrific in all honesty
Staff really lovely though
The fire alarm went off at midnight and we were evacuated. No explanation was ever given. We were told to avoid certain times for breakfast due to two big bus tours. When we arrived extra early to eat we weren't allowed to sit at the tables for the apparently superior guests on the buses. The floor in our room had soft spots where it didn't feel safe to walk. You could see the dips in the carpet between the floor joists. The property was established in 1699, which was interesting.
Absolutely lovely place, staff were friendly and helpful, food was good.
Room was big, could have done with a bigger TV as I had to squint to see it from the bed.
The hotel was good for the price. Staff were friendly and facilities were good, if a little dated.
We had a room which faced on to a busy road, and traffic noise etc. was a downer for us.
If I return to this hotel, I would make sure I had a room that wasn’t facing the road.
