Check in takes forever. When I arrived to check in there were seven other groups waiting to check in. I timed the single receptionist at 8 minutes per check in. After waiting for around 25 minutes a second receptionist finally showed up. Overall check in time was over 30 minutes. I value efficiency in business and this process seems crazy to me. The hotel already has all my information before check in. The process should take maybe a minute to look up the guest and another to charge for incidentals and issue keys. It’s a total bummer to show up after a long day of travel and be expected to wait 30-60 minutes just to get into your room. Otherwise, the property is beautiful but the rooms are pretty dated. The our room likely hadn’t seen a renovation in 10+ years if I had to guess. The bar staff at the lounge did their job but wasn’t overly friendly. We just came from Mexico where the entirety of the hotel staff was incredibly gracious and professional. I just didn’t get anywhere close to that at the Tapatio Hilton. We will probably stay again for the pools and property amenities but our expectation from the staff is pretty low.

We have stayed here 2 other times 8 and 10 years ago. They have let this place go horribly. It is a poorly maintained apartment complex. Dirty. Our balcony was so covered in old bird crap it could have been shut down by the health department. Room service was awful—asked for several things- zero follow up. They actually never came back. Asked for our room to be cleaned- in 4 days they came only came the first day. The pool staff is great- the pool is nice. Other than that I would absolutely NOT recommend staying here at all, ever again. We recommended 2 of our friends travel there with us, I was embarrassed by the recommendation.

We stay here every time we’re in town and while we like the rooms, the parking isn’t convenient. We had an employee sweeping bird poop from above down to our balcony and continued even after I asked her to stop. That was an isolated incident though and most employees are quite friendly and helpful.

My first time visiting the Hilton Phoenix Tapatio Cliffs Resort was exceptional, and I can’t recommend it enough. The location is stunning, nestled among picturesque mountains with breathtaking views. The property is beautifully maintained, with multiple pools that are perfect for relaxing or enjoying the warm Arizona sun. The staff were attentive and welcoming, always going above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with amenities that made it feel like a true getaway. Dining options on-site were varied and delicious, adding to the overall experience. This property is wonderful.Family friendly, clean with comfortable beds.We enjoyed plenty of space for the grandsons to play with their toys.The adjoining rooms made it very easy for our family activities, especially having 2 bathrooms.Everything about this place has us saying, We Will Be Back!
