Pleasant staff, rooms and hotel have character.
However, all comments read in reviews about noise due to location are true! You are likely to be woken by revellers returning home at any time of night - midnight to 5 am! Then the street cleaning machines come at 6 am, then the coffee shop opposite opens and puts metal tables out at 7.30 am!!
Hotel room keeping inconsistent - we had family room for 4, but only 3 cups left and on another day only 2, and no coffee left after arrival; one day only 3 towels, no toiletries replenished after first day, toilet paper only replenished after third day - and if you went to reception it was often not staffed. Ear plugs(because of noise) provided by hotel (honestly!) but not replaced after first night, after which they resemble a piece of used chewing gum. Shower cubicle dirty, especially shower head, and is probably smallest in existence (mid-teenager struggled to get in and use).
Breakfast provided at extra cost - only 5 euros, but first come first served so if it ran out - such as scrambled egg- it wasn't replaced for later-comers; was also not told of arrangement, availability, location or cost until second day when asked why we had not come for breakfast that morning.
Watch out for 'City Tourist Tax' payable on checkout - even for children!
