The Hilton Playa del Carmen is a beautiful property with great staff that are very accommodating. The pool area was fabulous with the beach/ocean nearby. The food was great at each of the restaurants. The buffet restaurant (spice) was good, but some items were subpar. The beach is not as big as it looks in the pictures and the ocean is very rocky. Overall, the resort was amazing and I would stay there again!

I don’t know how this is a 5 star property. The rooms are nice and clean and the pool is big- that’s it. The food is terrible. You cannot get a steak without paying the up charge for prime meat. There’s no dinner buffet. There’s nothing to do past 10 pm. Hotel staff isn’t the most friendly or helpful. The beach is so rocky it’s not swimable and there’s so many cabanas on the beach, there’s barely any sand. Everything at this resort is an up charge and they constantly try to sell you things. Save your money. Go somewhere else.

Overall it was an amazing stay, 8/10 the only reason it wasn’t a 10/10 the staff there tried to make me pay the tax twice for staying there even after I talked to the same worker and he acted like he didn’t charge me the first time, thankfully I had kept the receipt of the transaction

The staff was so friendly! The food was good, and the view was beautiful. But honestly the property ambiance was largely ruined with yellow caution cones every few feet. I’m not sure why this was, but it was definitely overkill and seemed very unnecessary at an adults only resort.
