I enjoyed the property but for price the food Options were very poor. Flavor of food bland. Food was not up to par for Hilton,, Staff is condescending and impatient i am sure from dealing with disgruntled foreigners. Nonetheless a horrible experience will not recommend or return

Only issue was getting from the airport to the resort. I had to shop around because the shuttle that works with the resort is very expensive. I was able to book something much cheaper to and from the airport.

Great all inclusive. Food and Alcohol is at the lower end since its an all inclusive. I would not comoare it to an All inclusive 5 star resort like an Xcaret Arte /Mexico resort but more like a 3 star food and drink quality. As for hotel and rooms 4 to 4.5 stars. They do say transportation included but the shocker is when you ask of it, they send you to one of their contracted taxi services 250-300 round trip. We took a private car for 50 each way and you can get a 15 passenger van for about 80. Id cone back for sure but not for the food and drinks. Id get wirhiut the all inclusive option at lower rate and eat outside. Plenty if good choice walking within 1-4 blocks

We loved most everything about this property except the food wasn’t great and EVERYTHING on property closed down by 11pm. No alcohol after 11pm or before 10am. And the food (besides Mexican) was sub par. But worth it for location, cleanliness and entertainment.

Nice to be near 5th Ave but the food was disappointing and the excursions and airport transfer pricing was pretty expensive. Being closer to Cancun might not have been as pricy to do off-resort activities. If you like to be exclusively poolside or on the beach for your vacation, this is a good option. Plan for the season when it’s not as likely to rain though. If you’re hoping for amazing Mexican food, you’ll have to eat off the resort.

One of the best resorts my wife and I have stayed at. Was not crowded, and there was always availability to get something to eat as well. It being an all-inclusive hotel, sometimes theres a worry that the food might not be that great or that youll be limited on what is available, that is definitely not the case here. The food was great and so many options. A wide variety of activities and amenities to explore as well and other shopping and dining opportunities within walking distance. The occasional smell of copal from the spa was lovely. We also had a couples massage, experienced Dia de los Muertos, many drinks and a nice night time at the beach. Would love to return.

Maybe it was due to the time of year I went to the resort(October), but ALL the cabanas that would usually be down on the beach were all around the pool area which left VERY little room to walk down to the beach. They were so tight together when going to the beach you feel as if you’re interrupting people as you pass by

Loved our stay at the Hilton Hotel Playa Del Carmen. The hotel has everything you could want in an all inclusive stay. I would say the food was a huge plus, all restaurants were great and the food was very fresh and tasty. We ate at Asiana 3/4 nights we were there it was that good! Our room was very spacious, equipped with all the amenities you could ask for.

We have been coming here for 10 years now. Only complaint from this trip is there are no lounge chairs next to pool. You have to pay $110-$170 to rent a cabana that includes the two chairs poolside.
