Villa Hotel de Sueno is a modest property - not fancy, but very comfortable and clean. For example, our twin basic room lacked a fridge and the television was tiny, more like a monitor. But the room was clean, the bedding sparking and the bed very comfortable. There are two things that make this hotel fantastic. 1) the food. Be sure to have a meal here beyond breakfast. The dinners and desserts are highest quality and service is perfect. 2) the staff. Everyone went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of for us. From arranging transport and pointing us to the beach and fresh towels to being sure we were fed early mornings . I usually stay at chain hotels but the personal touches this place provides makes it much more enjoyable. Thank you for your hospitality!

Everything was great, which is why this is the 4th time we've stayed here. Only down sides are it's not super wheelchair friendly, but not impossible. Price for a beer is unusually high (6USD), as are extras at breakfast. Example, 5USD for two pieces of toast? Kind of outrageous, as were any of the breakfast add ons. BUT, this is a 5 star, no arguments, restaurant. I've never stayed at ANY hotel ANYWHERE that has food of this quality. It's literally near perfect or perfect almost every time. Truly outstanding. Getting ice is a pain too. If they cleaned all that up, this stay could have been 100 out of 100 instead of 95. Hard to argue with 95 though. We'll be back. Randall the Handle, best ever waiter, typical Costa Rican guy (as were really almost everyone working there). Will miss him the most, and his young apprentice (forgot his name, but he was the youngest waiter by far). Sure hope they're still there next year.

We enjoyed our stay, albeit short, at the hotel. We only stayed one night, needing a place without a long drive to the Airport. It was an easy drive to our car rental drop off. I’m glad we chose this location. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. The restaurant food was delicious and the service was excellent. It was great having such a short walk to the beach where we could watch the sunset fade into the ocean on our final night in Costa Rica.

Villa del Sueno Oasis is a great place to stay. It is quiet, the swimming pool is wonderful, rooms are nice, clean, beds are comfortable. The high light of the whole place is the restarant, the staff, and music on weekends. We have returned for the last 3 years. Also close to the airport Liberia. Highly recommended !!!

This is excellent property for the price. A similar hotel right down the street wants twice as much. It has lovely grounds. It is very clean and it is very close to the beautiful flyer at Hermosa. It also has a pool only downside not any electrical outlets to charge the phone and TV is pretty weak. But great service they hooked me up with a fantastic boating excursion super nice and super quiet. I highly recommend this property for your stay here.

I have nothing negative to say at all. A couple things irked me, but they were really none of my business so I won't say. What I will say, whenever something wasn't right? They fixed it. They are very customer service oriented here. The hotel (I'm no expert) is 3-4 star. Very spacious rooms, clean, all you would want. The Restaurant is 5 star, but personally? For THIS place, can I invent SIX star? They'd make it easily. Not the first time we've stayed here; repeat customers who will be checking in again on April 2nd. Food is over the top sensational every single meal. Top five breakfast place, and possibly number one for dinner, and I've been to Costa Rica 12 times now, staying usually 3 weeks but once only 2 weeks. Been ALL over the country. Highly recommend. BIG shout out to our best buddy waiter of all time, any country, any city. Our Amigo Randall the Handle!!! Bless!!!

An overnight stop before the airport. Had what we needed except a fridge. Breakfast was okay. Beautiful gardens. Easy walk to the beach. Secure parking. We didn’t eat or drink there as it was overpriced.

We love this hotel and its Staff

We love this hotel. It is a short walk to the beach, offers great facilities and had a great restaurant, all at a very reasonable nightly rate. During our stay the hotel had live music several nights. No worries about what to do, the hotel can arrange excellent tours to meet every desire. We loved the staff. They were very friendly, always helpful, knowledgeable, and treated us like family. Villa del Sueno will be our go to stay for a mid winter break in the future.
