We booked this pension for two nights cos it's close to the "lakes" and had received mostly good reviews - well, with the notable exception of one, I think, Australian guy who scored it really low - sadly he turned out to be right!
Room was OK-ish but up three flights and our double bed was hard and the coverings two single duvet and the "smarmy" proprietor (obsequious twin of the bookshop assistant in Notting Hill!) insisted that he'd never heard of a double and it would be a laundry problem!.
Being about eight kilometres from the nearest village, we decided to have dinner. Menu was basic and a perfect match for the poor food - lowlight was the four our five pieces of totally tasteless fusilli offered as an amuse bouche with half a slice of tomato with the immortal, throwaway line, "Just a little something we had left over in the fridge"!
Last straw was the Wifi which was, I'm pretty sure, offered in the lobby but turned at to be useless cos, there being no landline connection to the property, it was based on a 2G mobile connection; this also explains the lack of credit card payment facilities and the need to pay in cash - something else which we, unfortunately, missed in the hotels terms!
Would we stay there again? No, not ever!
