Breakfast was very good and prepared on order. the hotel reception was great and the hotel is clean and nice. unfortunately we had booked a "small room" as we were just staying 1 night. we had no problem with the size of the room and it was very clean. the problem was that room 309 and I can guess all the room on that floor and on that side of the hotel have a sloping roof with low rafters exactly where one has to walk to get into bed. they could pad them as they are really a big hazard and I felt not safe, the risk of banging my head was really considerable. this was not mentioned in the booking system otherwise we would have chosen another type of room.

As with other reviews, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is looking a bit tired in places, but was very clean. There's a bit of noise during the day from the road outside, motorbikes with the baffles removed, but the bed was really comfortable, and I slept like a log, and I'm a light sleeper. I only had a simple breakfast, as I'm gluten intolerant, but the staff catered for me excellently. I would happily stay there again

The hotel is about 20 minutes walk from the Hoe and 25 Barbican, decent position for town also. Nice spacious room, decent size tv, very comfortable bed and good shower. Good room cleaning every day. No complimentary water, would have been nice. Hotel is quiet inside but a lot of traffic noise from busy road outside. Good swimming pool and sauna. Convenient restaurant attached to hotel, great service both breakfast and in restaurant. I'm gluten free catered for me very well, staff helpful. Only drawback restaurant seemed to only have two gluten free dinners, but food was good. Breakfast very good provided gluten free choices, excellent staff.
