We stayed on Christmas Eve and had so much fun sitting in their private pool rooms and eating breakfast at the cafe. The people there were so helpful, happy and polite. We loved it there!

Enjoyed our stay!
We very much enjoyed our stay at Riverside Hot Spring. The staff was friendly, the on site mineral baths were very enjoyable and easy to book and the food was very good. For us, it was amazing that we could have our dogs join us on the trip. Thank you!

The property was an older property with a unique history. It has the potential to be amazing, but it misses the mark in all ways. The bed was terrible and the breakfast is limited and also bad. I didn't know someone could mess up french toast, but it was bland and burnt on one side. The main area was freezing! When we asked about a heater being turned on, the lady at the front desk said it was just what it was. The maintenance man did get a heater and get it turned on. If they touched up the service and put in good beds, they would improve the property greatly. Also, there is no hair dyer like normal hotels. It was disappointing!

It wasn’t the best hotel but it wasn’t the worst I’ve stayed at either. The history of the hotel was really cool. The private hot springs inside the hotel was very clean and a great unique experience! The breakfast was good however it took a long time to wait for it. The only complaint I have is the walls were thin and could hear people talking in the room next to us. And the bed frame was squeaky any time you would move. Other than that it was a great place to stay.

Anniversary trip
Great little hotel, friendly staff, spacious rooms and the private soaking tubs are very nice. We ate at the restaurant downstairs and though it's a little pricey, the food was delicious and worth it for a special occasion.

I absolutely LOVE Riverside Inn. Quaint boutique historical hotel. Clean rooms, friendly staff, cute little breakfast place and restaurant, PRIVATE HOT SPRINGS TUBS IN THE BUILDING! We stay there every time we are traveling within a few hundred miles because we love it that much.

They really make this hotel seem like the cream of the crop. I booked through Expedia because of the rating. 1st thing went wrong before we even arrived. Called 3 hours before we got here to make a dinner reservation and they were booked out. (I guess guests don’t get priority)! As for the hotel. Zero parking! We might as well of slept outside waking up to a room in the 30 degree range. The heat source provided was an electric fire place that when we told the front desk that it didn’t work he just told us it was probably the remote and to open up the unit and try the controls. Still didn’t work. After a shower you could take a bath since the drain was so plugged it filled the tub. We could have stayed warmer if we were able to close the window but the high end 35$ window ac wouldn’t allow for that. Very very disappointing stay. The only positive thing I have to say is the private hot springs were a nice way to enjoy.

Step back in time excellence!!!
Amazing 100+ year old hotel located in Lava Hot Springs Idaho, holding on to the feel with all amenities updated! Private mineral baths, beautiful decks overlooking the Portneuf River. Lovely Restaurant and bar with excellent waiter (Will) and Chef Josh!! Had a European feel and was very clean and comfotable!!!

Cozy Comfy Old Hotel
Comfy little hotel that has everything we needed. It is old which was expected but the age is part of the charm. The portable A/C unit is a bit loud. The mineral pools were an added bonus, the #2 pool we used could use some cleaning. Still, we are planning to make use of them more in our next visit. The lightbulbs in the hotel are a mix of warm and white lights. It may have better ambience if they were all warm lights.

Giant overflowing trash cans directly in front of the hotel. Ashtray piled with cigarette butts soaking in water directly at the front door. Are you kidding me? This is such a nice property. Clean up the parking lot!
