This property is a converted historic flour mill and the rooms are very pretty and bathrooms well-appointed. It was also very quiet. There were drawbacks to the location and layout of the building. I didn’t like that there was no direct access to the lobby. When we checked in, we received an average welcome. This was the only contact we had with the front desk. They don’t automatically replenish towels or t.p. You have to ask and go around through the outside entrance. The lighting in the rooms is pretty dim. And be prepared. There is nowhere nearby to have a nice dinner. You have to go all the way into Lava Hot Springs. There is a cafe across the street that has a wonderful breakfast and small-town courtesy but they close after lunch.
Beautiful family owned hotel. We booked the Ebony room. Very nicely renovated with modern comfort. Loved the blackout, electric shades, and the book & sheets very comfy! They also gave a coffee/cappicino maker in the Libby. I as so very thankful for the cappuccino when we arrived. We had a long day drive so we went to the gas station across the street to find dinner. I was very impressed on how well stocked the store was. Lots of frozen meals, pizzas, fresh meat, and procure. The Harkness hotel is planning on adding a restaurant. This will complete this amazing hotel/spa.
We’ve stayed here twice now for anniversaries. Such a cute, quaint, and quiet place. The staff is friendly. We cooked our own meals. The fridge could use an update but other than that, excellent. We’ll be back
I loved the luxurious decor, the bath tub, the toiletries, the room had an extra blanket, a mini fridge and microwave, the coffee machine in the lobby was delicious. It was close to the hotsprings, restaurants and gas stations. It was exactly what we expected, the bed was a California king but a little bigger.
This property is an attractive boutique hotel and exudes character near a highway exit. It is seemingly a walk back in time, but accompanied by all modern conveniences. We were a family of four traveling from Yellowstone back to Salt Lake City and chose this as a midway stopping point for an overnight and a trip to Lava Springs. It was spacious, clean, and decorated with original newspaper clippings of a time when the hotel was a bank. We left the next day for a Park City Hilton, which was nice and comfortable, but we also left the charm, character, and "vibe" of this small hotel behind. Good value for the traveling dollar.
Like a luxury apartment with low prices, can see moon and mountains in bathroom at night, can hear trains passing sometimes, also the curtains are remotely controllable, gas station right in front of the hotel; lobby provides all sort of drinks and water. Very close to lava hot spring!

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, room comfort
Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
Awesome, except for the smell.
The room was nice and spacious with the vaulted ceiling. Very nice bathroom with big tub and walk in shower. The bed was really comfortable and a true king-sized mattress. Really the only complaint I have is the smell. It stunk really bad of smoke. Did not realize it was not a non-smoking hotel until unfortunately I was there.
This property is amazing. The lady at the front desk was so nice. The suite was incredible. It even had a magnificent sky light. Very high ceiling. Great kitchen. Lots of space. Loved it!

Unexpected luxury is the theme of this hotel. It is a quaint building off the beaten track and away from the crowds and tourists that the hot springs nearby bring. My husband and I were very impressed with the room. The staff was friendly. There's no breakfast but there is coffee or hot cocoa in the lobby if needed. And across the street is a hometown cafe that serves a delicious breakfast.
If you arrive outside of certain hours you need to text the hotel so a staff member can come over to let you in. It is a renovated bank building that is over 100 years old. Very cool.
Good spot for a quick overnight between Jackson and Salt Lake. Very cool
Old building converted to hotel rooms. Don’t let the small town vibes keep you away.
