We hear ya! That plane flying overhead released the adventurer within, right? Then a trip to Pokho-ri might just be the answer! From here, you'll be able to step off the beaten path and explore the picturesque beaches, coastal plains and rivers of South Jeolla.

It's located 330 kilometres to the south of Seoul, the capital of South Korea.

It's well known that spending time outside in nature is good for your health. Keeping that in mind, why wouldn't you journey 50 kilometres out of Pokho-ri to Wolchulsan National Park? Dadohae-haesang National Park, just 45 kilometres away, is another top option.

Go 25 kilometres to the northeast and you'll reach Mokpo. It's popular for some excellent sights, such as the National Maritime Research Institute of Cultural Heritage and Yudal Mountain.

Roughly 100 kilometres to the northeast, Damyang is a place chock-full with things to do. Gwanbangjerim Forest Park, the Bamboo Museum and the Bamboo Garden are close by. Keep in mind, the Myeonangjeong Pavilion and Geumjeong Fwarang may be more your thing.

See the region's landscapes from a fresh perspective and sign up for a bit of mountain climbing or hiking. They're both well-loved activities in this part of the world.
