The pictures on VRBO have to be older. We found the property is not being maintained, which was known around the island, according to the 2 people we spoke with. It could be 5 stars if a property manager were involved or the owner lived nearby. Issues we encountered: Sheets/Towels dated/worn, Towels were very rough feeling, the couch had batting coming out of the back cushions with no support at all on the seat, many light bulbs were blown out or the lights aren't working, boat lift is not functional, garbage drawer falls out each time it's opened, oven door wouldn't close all the way, front screen door was duct taped, downstairs shower had drywall visible around the knob, washer lid wouldn't stay up due to right hinge being rusted through, broken chair on porch that couldn't be used, bunk beds had a fitted bottom sheets but no top sheets, the refrigerator smelled like fish The golf cart lady told us she tried to leave the cart in the front yard but the plug wasn't working. She also said there was poison ivy on it? The dishwasher was full of dirty dishes when we arrived. The stench was awful. There was no D/W soap on site which explains why they were never run. We hand washed all of ours. The host asks the vacationer to wash, dry, and fold all the sheets/towels before leaving. He does allow extra time to accomplish this. The beds were comfortable and the A/C worked really well. We had no wifi but had to hot spot off our own Xfinity account using our password for our home. We think the modem is non-functional. I was in contact with host about this but he could not correct the problem over the weekend. The host is good about reaching out to all inquiries very quickly. Chad was very pleasant to work with. We have stayed at many VRBO's and this has been the worst experience to date. Unfortunately, we won't stay at this property again.
