Book Portage hotels

This camp was perfect for our moose hunt. You can literally see the access road to the North Maine Woods from the driveway. Plenty of parking, and great view of Portage Lake. The camp was exceptionally clean and well furnished. Beds were comfortable. Would absolutely stay here again.

Used this as base camp for bird hunting in the NMW for a week in October with my dad and his dog. Was a perfect spot to crash at the end of long day in the woods. Comfortable at night, even had the luxury of the TV to watch playoff baseball at night, and the sunrises were amazing every day. Eric was very welcoming of the dog and very quick to answer any questions. Would tell friend s a stay here again.

Had a great time staying on Portage Lake. The camp was super clean and convenient for access to North Maine Woods. Joy was very pleasant and responsive.

We enjoyed our stay as friends own a camp on the lake and came up to visit with them. Location was good and we were visited by a flock of turkeys on several days. We were disappointed with the “beds”. Very uncomfortable and my husband could not stretch out. I would recommend getting real beds as the foam padding did little to improve the situation. Would rent again if the sleeping situation was upgraded.

We so enjoyed staying at "Portage Lakeside Cabins" for the "Summer Round-Up". Right on the lake for fishing and so close to town you don't miss any event! You will so love the location and the sunsets.

The cabin is just what I was hoping for and just what I needed. Although the little lake town of Portage has changed, the lake itself is like I remembered as a kid. I would highly recommend this cabin and I look forward to coming back again.
