The hotel was fine good value for money, location looked great except that there was constant loud music from all night bars and clubs in the area until after 4 am, not the hotel's fault, but if you want a good night sleep avoid this area.

Its a great area close to shopping, dining and the beach, can be noisy at night till about 4 am because of discoteck downstairs and loud music but i like the area is so alive and happy.

The bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable. And the Wi-Fi did not work. The AC worked extremely well though and the staff was super accommodating and nice and let us sit and use the Wi-Fi in the breakfast area of the lobby. The shower wasn’t great because it was a little hand held spout. The hotel lost cold water for a day. Good value for what I paid for but it wasn’t the best place ever.

I found the staff to be really lovely, very friendly, welcoming and helpful. I didn't realise how loud it would be at night, until late. I actually got used to it but i wouldn't recommend to anyone who has an issue with noise at night! I would've felt better if i could just hear one bar playing music but there was a mash of 4 or 5 bars, so pretty incomprehensible. It's a great position for the beach and for cafes and restaurants, and if you like to get lost in the crowd.

Good hotel on the strip! Convenient to the beach and bars! Good air con and also heating option because I have was freezing after a siesta with air con on! But that’s a good thing. Staff were accommodating polite and even refreshed my room on the second day! Thankyou so much Hotel Avenida Praia for the best weekend xx

Dirty but close to festivals
Really dirty hotel rooms and the staff at the check in desk are so rude. the beds are tiny and same with the rooms. There are much cheaper options that are much nicer on the portimao strip. The only positive of staying here is that it was 5-10 min walk to the Rolling Loud and Afronation festivals.

Room was very clean. Cleaned everyday including towels etc. Good value for a three star. Good do with bigger pillows as very small. Night club opposite very noisy on the weekend. Ok with door shut to sleep. Does have Aircon and a little fridge for water etc. Very small balcony but see view.

This hotel is in a great location with access to the amazing beach and local restaurants and nightlife. We were on the 2nd floor and stayed for one week. You'd need to be on a higher oor for a good sea view. The nightclub opposite is lively and open until 4am. We didn’t find this an issue at all. Maybe a problem if you're a light sleeper or have children. We were in bed early and also early to rise. We saw, from our balcony, lots of people having left the club behaving with no issues. Im really impressed at how well organised everything was. Breakfast options were limited but sufficient. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our time here and would happily book again.
