An excellent choice but add parking to the rate
Great value for staying near downtown or NE/SE Portland. Staff is always professional, accommodating and kind. Just note that when comparing on price, that you will be also paying for daily valet parking rate, about $30/day at the time of this review. Valet service is excellent - just not included in the nightly rate. Very modern, clean. Nominal rooms are small, but well equipped and comfortable. This is one of my go-to hotels when coming into town for business.

Stayed because it was walking distance to the Moda Center (5 mins). The room was clean and had a great city view. Despite the busy streets and the Max train stop right on the corner, it was surprisingly quiet. Lots of very tempting drinks and treats in the room, but unfortunately everything came with a very hefty price tag, so we didn't touch anything! Parking was expensive at $43, but it seems you have to pay literally everywhere to park in this city, I think they are trying to punish you for owning a car here. I don't think this was the hotel's fault, but there was a heavy stench of garbage when you walked out the front entrance. However, everywhere I went in the area I was stepping over tents, people, and garbage all over the sidewalks. Seems to be a major problem for Portland.

Pretty standard hipster/boutique hotel. Extremely enjoyable stay but the neighborhood and surrounding area is sort of a demilitarized zone. Gritty Northeast Portland. The rooftop restaurant and bar are great and the bartender made me a great custom cocktail.

Overall it was pretty good. It was a little bit dirty, but it was minimal so not too bad or gross. Parking was kind of expensive but staff was great and check in was super quick!!

Mandatory 45 dollar fee for valet parking if you want to use their lot. Lot attendants aren’t very friendly, neither were the staff. They will allow a million homeless people walk around their lot but force you to pay to park there as a guest. Very dirty rooms as well.

I cannot say enough good about this hotel / property! Reasonable rates, clean, great decor, great proximity to the Moda Center. My only complaint is you have to valet your vehicle, but the valet crew was amazing! The hotel also communicated with me via text (which I prefer), and periodically checked in with me to make sure my stay was enjoyable as possible. Highly recommend Hotel Eastlund!
