This is ok for a short stay but the building and rooms are a bit rundown and the area has some rough spots that you need to be careful of.

Staff was very friendly and check-in was fine. In the 3 days I was there I never received room service or new towels. I constantly had to go to the front desk for fresh towels. The room was very grungy and beat-up. There were visible drywall patches unfinished in the room. I also found pornographic magazines under the mattress when checking for bedbugs. No bedbugs found fortunately. lol. My room sounded like Grand Central Station because the hotel is so close to the City Train stops. This is not the hotel's fault obviously but something to be aware of if noise is an issue for you during your stay.

The building, lobby and hallways are aged and worn. The room was clean and looked great for the money. Mattresses are not very soft but firm for those that like it that way.

Overall good but needs work
Would stay again, great location, very good staff service offered free upgrade to a better view of Portland and away from rail noise. Cozy bed and great pillows. The rooms need regular detailing however and regular cleaning of all the air conditioner systems, found filthy air filter
