It’s a cute property, comfortable rooms and kind staff, room service was not done during my stay but we knew that in advance. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
Will not stay again & would not recommend
I’m disabled & without my husband, I wouldn’t have been able to stay. Between the off site parking & no elevator it would not have worked out. Both of these things should have been shared in the listing
Cooling system in the room was very loud when it turned on/off, made sleeping difficult. Phone cord was broken so calling the front desk required us to hold phone cord into the phone base. There were no toiletries in our room when we arrived. They were very quick to bring some to our room but first needed to check in our bathroom to see if there was/was not already toiletries there. I thought this was a bit strange. Like we weren’t being honest?
Everything was great about the room and service. Parking was quite challenging for both front lobby and room location, but I suppose that’s unfixable due to the city layout.
Good budget-friendly motel with friendly employees who allowed me to check in early after a long travel day. The room was comfy and clean. The walls are paper thin so if you are a light sleeper and the motel is full, you’re going to hear a lot of people and street noise. The back parking lot is a bit difficult to get in and out of. Overall, you definitely get what you pay for and if you’re looking for a budget-friendly stay in the Portland area, this is not a bad choice.
Nice, clean, spacious rooms with a small kitchen. Good location for us since we went to visit the Rose Garden and Japanese Garden. The front desk staff are very nice.
This was the clear winner of all the stays we had (6 different hotels) on our 8 day scenic route driving trip from San Francisco to Seattle. We really needed a place to spread out and regather our things before packing up and flying home. We had really bad hotel just north of the Seattle Zoo before arriving at Park Lane, and our stay here was very much needed. We had room 409 tucked up in the quiet back corner of the building. I initially thought we weren't going to get a great view of the city that most rooms had. Then we opened the curtains to reveal the beautiful shady backyard garden next door. The suite had everything we needed, and generous square footage. Our stay here got us back on track during a busy activity packed trip. It was the perfect finish. The hotel and the neighborhood.
Our Portland visit included some hiking on the forest trails only a few blocks up the hill in Stearns Canyon. Those trails continue to Rose gardens, Hoyt Arboretum, the Zoo, a Japanese garden, all within a leisurly hour wooded hike.
Our main reason to visit was the Devo show at the Willamette riverfront. Our 8 days on the west coast followed 4 dates on their 52nd year of touring. Duty Now! We walked the 1.4 miles from to the show since we wanted to grab lunch on the way. Plenty of dining options and interesting street art was found on the way on SW Alder St. The downtown area was pretty chill when we left the show. We got some ramen on our walk back.
Highly recommend the suite rooms!
