Seemed like an old dump that was remodeled to try & be hip. My room smelled terrible, bathroom had a sliding door that wouldn’t close flush with wall so there was a 1 inch crack. Front desk staff was helpful but the barista working cafe was irritated & unpleasant. I work in service and have never left a poor review but this place was a total bummer.

The restaurant was supposed to be open until 10 pm and it closed early so we had to go somewhere off site. The continental breakfast was nothing more than bagels and cream cheese. Options would be nice. They should go back to offering the credit in the restaurant, assuming it is open.

The City View King room smelled of mildew. There were visible gaps in the sliding bathroom door, meaning there was not a good level of separation/privacy between the bathroom and bedroom area. Skip this hotel and book something nicer.

Hotel Zags is a fun place. I like the quiet courtyard and great location (walkable to all parts of downtown; accessible public transportation is nearby). Decent value for the cost.
