This hotel is in the best location if you really want to enjoy Porto as a first timer. It is in the middle of almost everything. I love the breakfast and the fact that you get to choose what you want and you have complimentary snacks on every floor. I definitely recommend this hotel if this your first time. My girlfriends and I really loved the place. Also there is no elevator to get ur luggage, so you will have to use the stairs but it wasn’t that bad as the person in the reception is always willing help or assist.

Lovely place, great staff, definitely will stay there again on my next trip. Loved the idea of the breakfast delivered to your room, the snacks and drink bar as well available for free for the guests . Makes a lot of difference from your usual stay in typical hotels

Beautiful hotel. Everything felt very luxurious. Beds were very comfortable. Good use of space in a city with small spaces. They don't have a dining room so breakfast is served via room service on a little trolley. It felt elegant and pampered to have breakfast delivered to the door. It's in a busy area of the city with easy access to shopping, restaurants and the metro; however, our room was very quiet. Don't know if this is the case with all the rooms. The only caveat is that the hotel is up a steep flight of stairs, and our room was another flight of stairs. Staff was helpful and carried our bags up and we were otherwise fine with the stairs. Just something to keep in mind if traveling with someone who finds stairs difficult or if you have oversize bags.

Our room was on the top floor. I think there were maybe 8 or so flights of stairs to get to our room. Breakfast was just okay. The last morning we ended up getting someone else’s but we didn’t really care. It’s basically all the same anyway. Our lat night was torture; Portugal is very hot in July and our AC failed. They offered to let us stay at another one of their properties but that was not practical as it was too late in the evening already. All they had was a small fan which was inadequate. We sweltered all night and the room never cooled below 28 C. I cannot recommend this hotel unfortunately. It’s just too old of a building. Also, be prepared, maybe it’s a European thing but the bathrooms often have no doors so if you’re a little bashful about using the toilet and need privacy, it can be awkward.

Louisa and team were amazing, always so friendly, professional and accommodating. My room had everything i needed for a good nights sleep. Coffee facilities and hot water available on 2 floors. The 2nd floor has a freshly baked cake every day, i so love that chocolate cake. The lady who makes our breakfast and bakes those yummy cakes really should produce a recipe leaflet. I really liked the location of the hotel, it was easy to walk to all the main sites, the metro or the bus.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Santa Catarina FLH Suites. The staff were all really friendly and helpful, and will carry your luggage for you. The building does not have a lift (which you are informed about when booking) so having their assistance was really good. The breakfast is also a lovely touch, delivered to your room at a time of your choice between 0800 and 1030, and you can choose so many options that are all well presented. I loved the granola with the natural yoghurt as well as the fresh fruit juices. Each floor has a Nespresso Pro coffee machine so you don't have far to get a coffee as you need, and there's lots of crockery and coffee pods, regularly topped up. There is also cake served at 5pm which is a nice welcome surprise, and always well baked (the marble cake in particular). The room we had on the top floor (prime suite) was very comfortable, it is up the most stairs so do be prepared for this. The bathroom was well maintained with a good working shower and toilet, and bathroom toiletries too in case you forgot to bring any. The large bed was really comfortable and having the chaise longue and soft bench at the end of the bed to relax in was a welcome addition. We will definitely be coming back here if we stay in Porto - the little touches and the wonderful staff really do make you feel welcomed.

Awesome Hotel. Look no further.
This was such a great hotel. The staff were very friendly and obliging. They really care for their guest needs and go out of their way to meet them. The room was small but beyond comfortable. The Complimentary breakfast was delicious and served via room service. It’s in a great location. When booking a hotel in Porto, this is the one to choose.

Wonderful 3 nights in Porto to celebrate our Wedding anniversary and family birthday. Hotel is compact and made good use of space with breakfast brought to our room. Comfy bed good shower and breakfast choices. Helpful friendly staff who helped make our bid day a bit more special.

Really enjoyed our stay, staff were super friendly, room was clean, spacious and had all we needed. It's so convenient for all the lovely markets, restaurants and shops. Beach is even walkable if you don't mind the cobbles/steps. The only constructive thing here was the noise - we got woken up every night/early AM due to the next rooms alarm, reception phone ringing and someone being locked out of their room. Otherwise, loved it.

This is an amazing place. Still has the original bones of the building, beautiful staircase, quaint corners, amazing ceilings but the rooms are modern and super clean. Just a 3 minute walk from the metro and plenty shops and restaurants. Alison was such great help by recommending a local restaurant and even wrote down her favorite dish to help us with the menu. Amazing place to stay with lots of night life not to far away. Will be staying here again.
