The property was very clean and the staff was friendly. The breakfast was tremendous and far exceeded expectations. It was a great stay for my wife and I, and we plan to stay again next time we visit Portsmouth.

We were in room 114 this is a Lovely hotel and the breakfast and service were superior…decor was lovely!!! However the lack of any storage for our belongings made the stay somewhat difficult, we lived out of our suitcases, we also found the lighting in the seating area to be insufficient. Additionally, The only storage clothing rack was a tubular metal rack that was placed directly infront of the only mirror in the room. The bed was luxurious. The TV was difficult to manage and the lack of any local stations was frustrating.

Great stay at The Hotel Portsmouth. Our room was beautiful and the staff were friendly and helpful. Free off street parking, as well as included breakfast. Location is great for exploring Portsmouth and is walkable to the whole downtown area. Would recommend staying here if you are visiting the area.
