A pristine clean property very well located to the Old City Square. The rooms were large and comfortable decorated in the old Prague graceful style. Everything from the front door to your bed was immaculately clean. Reception staff were efficient and welcoming. Shops and sightseeing were very close. Breakfast was adequate and very busy - the hotel is larger than it looks with some tour groups. Sadly some guests (tour group guests) were very greedy which put me off my meal. Despite a sign saying "No Takeaways" from the dining room people were making sandwiches 5 slices thick for themselves and again for their partners - they even came prepared with zip lock plastic bags to put the food into - it was disgusting. They then also took about 5 pieces of fruit each too. Other guests are paying for this greed! The wait staff are very busy working hard. The Manager stood in the reception dong nothing - he should have been walking around the dining area and when he sees this he should put a note in front of the person saying that all takeaway food will be charged to their account - that would stop them. This was the only negative of this hotel - why should I pay for a couple to take a loaf of bread and fillings and fruit for their lunch every day - very poor manners and behaviour.

We were delighted with everything, the location is literally one minute walk from the Square where the Astronomical Clock and other sightseeing places are located. The room was large and to our delight even had a kitchenette area with a decent sized fridge. We were on a lower floor so had no real view to speak of but everything else was great. The room was really warm but we had control of the radiator and could open windows so this was brilliant too. If you stay here you don't need to use the trams or buses unless you really need to. I was really pleased with my choice.

Wonderful Gem in Old Town
The staff here are wonderful and patient! We arrived after a very long travel day and we were a bit discombobulated! They answered questions multiple times and never got flustered. The room was spacious and comfortable. We especially loved the heated bathroom floor and the towel warmer. Breakfast was tremendous - an extravagant buffet with everything one could possibly want. The location was just a couple blocks from the astronomical clock and close to public transportation. We would absolutely stay here again.

Overall I felt the hotel was great, perfect area, good quality and friendly staff. My only feedback would be security we had to hand our key in everyday for the hotel to look after and when return we would simply say our room number and they would hand it over with no check I just feel from a security POV they could do ID or tokens. But overall it was a fantastic stay

PROS: a great location, walking distance from many attractions and restaurants. The room was spacious and clean. Beds were nice. Staff was friendly. CONS: The walls are thin so could hear neighbors and street noise. Wasn’t too much of a bother but noticed it. The Bathroom felt like a death trap. The toilet is right up against the sink and wall so takes some maneuvering. The hair dryer is in a bit of an awkward place. The vanity mirror is so high up it’s useless. The showers would go from scolding hot to cold for no reason. The shower head would stay up. Breakfast was edible but nothing special. Overall, I would consider it an upscale budget hotel in prime location.

Beautiful stay in Prague
Friendly and helpful staff all around from check-in (drinks coupons for a nearby restaurant) to check-out (setting us up with to-go breakfast for an early-morning departure). Our room was spacious and tidy with a small balcony. Hotel Leon D'Oro is charming and has a great location for learning about and exploring Prague.
