The front desk and staff were attentive and polite but, my week long stay felt more like a stay at a dormitory or rooming house than a hotel. 2 twin beds were pushed together in an attempt to form a king size bed but they didn’t have a connector between the twin mattresses and did not have king sheets … so, twin sheets were installed sideways (overlapping around your knees). The toilet was an elongated bowl but they had installed a cheap, round toilet seat on it so, parts of your body would sometimes come into contact with the front porcelain rim of the toilet which is unsanitary. And, the inside lid of the round toilet seat would constantly rub on your back (again, not very sanitary and annoying.)
For the first couple of days, the maid service came but the last 4 or 5 days, the maids merely folded the top sheet and emptied the trash. The last 4 days, I was using the same towels and the last 3 days, they took the bathroom mat but didm’t replace it.
The shower also leaked a couple of gallons into the bathroom floor the first time I used it … so I reported it and they sent a maintenance man very quickly. Unfortunately, he needed to order a replacement part and it would be fixed only after I left on Monday.
The hotel is located deep in the heart of Prague Old Town and is walking distance to some of the best that Prague has to offer, which is a lot! Prague is a wonderful city! This hotel could use some pointers from the Swiss on how to best run a hotel.
