Yep. Republic of Khakassia is kinda off the beaten track. But hey, who wants to do the touristy thing anyway? Besides, there's plenty to see and do in this amazing region (not least of all its picture-perfect forests and rivers). Set up base in Priiskovy and you can see it all from there.

The nation's capital, Moscow, is located around 3,200 kilometres to the northwest of Priiskovy.

If you've got enough time, why not go to some close-by places? Parnaya and Shira are 80 kilometres and 85 kilometres away, respectively.

When it comes time to unleash your inner adventurer, get ready for some mountain biking. That said, there aren't many better ways to explore the landscapes of this region than with a bit of mountain climbing.

From the centre of Priiskovy, it's 290 kilometres to the northeast to Yemelyanovo Airport (KJA). This is the closest airport. Remember to allow yourself a bit of extra time to find your way there so you don't miss your plane!
