Been burning the candle at both ends? Desperate for a break and a few quiet nights? Primorsk might just be the answer. It's set among the beaches and coastal plains of Leningrad — nice and off the well-worn tourist trail. (We reckon you'll feel so relaxed, you'll be under the doona by sunset!)

It lies 740 kilometres to the northwest of Moscow, the nation's capital.

Spend at least a few hours relaxing on the shore and searching for washed up treasures at Repino Beach or Zelenogorsk Beach.

Don't forget to visit the Primorsky Museum of Local Lore to reflect and fully immerse yourself in the regional culture.
