Staff extremely friendly. Organic environment with a nice comfortable pool . Great and friendly music playlist. Many restaurant options nearby, but do take advantage of their delicious breakfast options, waterfalls shower feature nice to come home to after a long day.

Staff, including Brenda and Ariath, were friendly, helpful and efficient. The vibe at Raíz is very laid back and tranquil. Breakfast options were also delicious. There are eateries with music nearby with late night options that could be heard from our room. We would definitely return in the future.

Lo que hace muy placentera la estancia en este hotel ademas de sus instalaciones, es la gente que ahi trabaja. Desde el momento del check y durante toda la estacia. La vibra es buenisima y te hacen sentir como en famila desde el momento que haces check in. Además de que la comida y las bebidas estuvieron excelentes. Reconocimiento especial a Arath que nos ayudó mucho con la comida y la mixologia, a las muchachas de la cocina por todas las recomendaciones y al muchacho de Puerto Rico que al igual que Arath una super vibra.

Raíz is an outstanding hotel located very close to the beach and Punta Zicatela, but just far enough away to ensure a peaceful stay. The staff are exceptional. From the moment I arrived after a very long red-eye Ximena and Brenda at the reception were always super friendly and knowledgeable. The food was superior, Mitka in the kitchen always serving delicious food, but more than that the staff are just so warm, friendly and inviting. Bartender Luis and servers and bartenders Arath and Sebastian make a mean cocktail with interesting twists using local Oaxacan ingredients and were beyond friendly. This place won’t soon be forgot and I hope to return sometime in the future. Just maybe when it’s not so hot.

De las mejores experiencias que he tenido. Todo el staff de Raíz estuvo muy atento. Desde que llegamos hasta el momento que nos despedimos. Pato, Jimena, Sebastián, Luis y Arath nos hicieron sentir como en casa y nos ayudaron con todas las dudas que se nos presentaron. This is a fantastic hotel - clean, simple but stylish, and excellent location to the beach and endless cafes, restaurants and bars. The small pool is nice to cool off during the day. The hotel never feels busy and is quiet. We enjoyed our stay. If you're looking for a cool hotel near a surfing beach, then this is the one. Very few negatives - the breakfast (additional fee) wasn't great and was however a little pricy.

Great modern hotel, a little oasis
This is a great, new, clean and beautiful hotel that is like a little oasis. The design is great and modern, and the rooms are comfortable and have a great bed. The hotel is small and definitely has a boutique feel. The staff are friendly and helpful. The pool is small but refreshing in the middle of the hot day. Just a few suggestions: some coffee or tea in the room would be lovely alongside the free water and the curtain across the door needs to be of a thicker material or a double curtain as it felt like the room at times lacked privacy as the curtain was somewhat see through.

we had such a lovely 2 night stay at Raiz. the staff were so friendly and helpful, always smiling and ready with local tips. Pool and working / eating area is super relaxed and spacious. Rooms were simple and clean and nicely designed. Absolutely would go again. Fantastic cocktails too
