Very nice staff. Breakfast was good. Beds are very hard, difficult to get a good sleep. Nice location on the beach. Unfortunately, there is a side street from my tower so I was woken up early every morning due to noise and car traffic. The hotel doesn’t allow any guests onto the property which I had no idea about when I booked this place. It was not on the Expedia listing terms or the hotel website which I feel is not being honest. Therefore. I am writing this review to let others know in advance so you are not surprised. I will not be back at this hotel again unfortunately. I’ve never been to a hotel in my life where you can’t have guests. I will stay somewhere else next time.

My room and the public spaces were very. While with no frills I had everything I needed. The shower was amazing - no waiting for hot water and great pressure. The staff were warm and efficient. Terrific beach access.

We had a beach view room, it was great. Only complaint is that the shower needs a good cleaning. Otherwise we enjoyed our 10 day stay, would stay again. Great location!

We decided to stay an extra day in PV and the Hotel Tropicana seemed like a nice place to do just that. We inquired at the front desk if there were any rooms with ocean view available for the following night. We were told no they were all booked. That’s ok we will take any room you have available. The answer was again sorry the hotel is full. We pulled up Hotels.com and booked an ocean view room without issue (weird). The hotel has great beach access and pools are both nice. The poolside chairs could be updated but they are comfortable. The room was clean and the beds comfy. View from the balcony was just what we were looking for. The hotel is located close to restaurants and shopping. Bell staff very helpful and friendly. Pool side service was great. Most of the front desk staff friendly and helpful. Pablo could work on his customer service skills a just a little. Over all a great experience and would recommend this place.

The hotel is very well kept. The cleaning staff are always working hard in the common areas to keep everything clean. I had booked a superior room but was first assigned a suite. I did not need a suite and the staff was able to move me to a great superior room that made my stay so much better. The beach is clean and always well laid out for guests. I ate a delicious breakfast every morning in the restaurant. I very much enjoyed my stay and will return!

The room was excellent and the maids did such a great job of cleaning up our messes. I had never stayed in the romantic zone before. I was pleasantly surprised at how quiet it was. The staff were all really friendly and helpful. It was a wonderful experience and I would definitely stay again!

Very RUDE staff for beach service. We were lucky if we got served twice a day at the beach/pool. Tipped them well but it didn’t matter. They were mostly on their phones or chatting with other employees. No beach loungers, even though their website says they have them. Very uncomfortable wooden chairs for the beach that had you sitting up. Food was horrible, thankful we had several options outside the hotel. The bright spot was Nena our cleaning lady. Top quality job! Also the bell staff were fabulous, very accommodating. We’ll never go back to this resort!!!!

Rooms on 3rd and 4th floors with no elevator! Even though we are mobile and in fairly good shape, getting from the room to the beach or the lobby was difficult. Nice staff. Clean. Our check-in process took almost 20 minutes.

Great view and well positioned right on an expansive beachfront. The rooms are very basic but a nice size, comfortable beds, clean and with a good AC. Shower pressure could have been better. Annoying that they let people come down in the morning and claim pool chairs without them staying at the pool. Lots of empty chaises all day which are claimed. That shouldn’t be allowed.
