We give this property 1 star but will share the positive and negative. First the positive: the views are stunning because it's right on the beach. Some of the staff that work the restaurant and bars are helpful and pleasant to talk to. The location of the resort is great and close to many great destinations. Now the negative: everything you read in other negative reviews is TRUE! The front desk is horrible. They're not pleasant and most of them (so we don't say all) are rude. The hotel manager (forgot the name of the lady) is very rude and talked to us like we're staying there for free, and not like we payed thousands to stay 10 freaken nights! And the last day, when the bracelets are cut after 11am, they treat you like garbage that needs to be out of their way. If you need to pay for a drink at the bar, it's a process that involves many people talking on the reado, and an actual physical receipt for 5 dollars! Meanwhile we saw people not affiliated with the resort hust walk up and pay for drinks in cash, so go figure! Throughout the stay, they followed everyone around enforcing stupid rules. This resort is about numbers and making money for the owner, they get alot of people because they're cheaper than nearby hotels and have zero effs to give about your experience. There's only one restaurant for all meals and there's always a line like you're lining up to get a government supply for free, not like you payed thousands for all inclusive. This is a great property, beautifully located by the sea. Wonderful friendly attentive staff. For an all inclusive resort, the food could certainly be better but it is still a nice convenience to have all these buffets (breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner) We even had a surprise visit by some humpback whales at the beach resort !! The hotel is great in organizing daily fun activities and quality evening shows (like circus night, latin dance shows and many others). The only letdown was on our last day, and upon checkout, the treatment that we received (after having stayed at the property for a week). We had some delayed returned flights and the hotel management was rather unfriendly and uncooperative in having us enjoy the resort that last day while waiting for our flights. Otherwise a marvellous stay and memories that we will always treasure! Thank you Las Palmas by The Sea! Muchas gracias Puerto Vallarta!!

Our stay, our room, the beach was amazing, as was the staff. The food was great every day, lots to choose from and everything tasted great. As we walked along the beach we could tell our beach had fine smooth pebbles unlike the other beach front in the area which had larger rougher sand. The entertainment was minimal which was great for us because we came for the ocean front and horseback riding. Had pina colada's everyday, one of the best places to stay and rest.

There was an area of smelly sludge water right by the rooms and beach. Food selection was minimal. Staff said “this isn’t a 5 star hotel”. Many employees did not speak English. Very loud music most of the night that the rooms did not block out. Beds very uncomfortable.

Wonderful exposure to Mexican hotel, food, drinks and entertainment. Everyone was nice, helpful and fun. Great location for beach and shopping nearby. Loved the very authentic Mexican food. This was our 4th time there, and will be back again.

For a budget hotel, I was pleased with the facility. Food choices were limited but I always found something to eat on my picky diet. Unfortunately I will never stay there again. Just at the time I was ready to got to bed, the noise and music blared thru the facility and rattled windows it was so loud. It is unfair to make all your guests listen to such obnoxious music till 10:30 pm. Then when the horrible music stopped, we had to listen to people screaming in the pool till midnight. Not everyone who goes to PV wants to party all night, some of us go there to wind down and relax.

Our stay was so terrible we left a day early. First I found the check in staff not very welcoming. After checking in at 4:30 we went to our room the whole wing that our room 29 was on smelled like septic. I was hoping it was temporary but it lasted the entire stay till we couldn't take it any more and decided to leave. The only food we found after checking in was found at a snack place on the property. The food was unedible. Cold and stale. Dinner started at 6:00 and was pretty good thank god concidering the first impression of the snack place. Over all food was not bad. Now lets get to the up sale of "have a seat and let me tell you what available here at the hotel" that little sit down ended up with an appointment that was only going to be an hour and its not a time share sale, its a membership. Well they promised tequila, beach bag and Message. None of that was given to us after a 2 hour high pressure sale. I should have known when we sat down what it was. Then after the pitch, and we said no theu continued to pressure us every time we walked by. Over all after the septic smell, killing centipedes daily, intimidating pressure and mediocre food the stay is a solid 1 star in my book.

This is our 3rd time staying at Las Palmas and we always like it. The first two times were before Covid and I remember the buffet with more options compared to this time. Also, in the past there were two specialty restaurants available for nightly reservations but this time we were given just one option total x our stay. Additionally, on the night of the Italian restaurant, it was a wedding and we couldn’t make it to the restaurant. Thankfully, we were able to get the Mexican restaurant next day. Currently the restaurants alternate days between Italian and Mexican. Staff is still the best! We were able to upgrade our room (for a fee) but no push. It looks like there are some big king sized rooms only available over there. Even though the place was packed, I am glad we were able to stay. The view from our room was breathtaking. The family environment and the safe atmosphere were a plus. The rooms are clean and daily housekeeping is excellent. This is a no frills older hotel but it has a particular charm that makes us want to come back. Looking forward to visiting again.
