My wife and I stayed for four nights in December, mostly to see the Christmas market (which did not disappoint, it was dazzling), and this hotel is a great location nearby, just a couple blocks walk. It is an excellent location in general, all-around for sightseeing in the Old Quebec district, literally right next to the famous Frontenac Hotel, the river, and the Dufferin Terrace, as well as quick access to the "lower town" (Petit Champlain) shopping area. There are great restaurants everywhere, within a five or ten minute walk. All the staff people at the hotel were friendly and helpful, the room while a bit small was very nice and the bed extremely comfortable. The breakfast buffet is good, not great; we ate there a couple times and went out for breakfast other days (try La Buche for breakfast - wow, the best). They do have a coffee machine available all hours which makes good cappuchino and espresso, or cafe au lait. If we'd brought swimming suits, we'd have used the spa tub downstairs; missed out on that. If you do go in December to see the Christmas market (and I do highly recommend it), be aware that it's only open Thursday through Sunday, not the other nights of the week!
