My husband and I stayed last week for 4 nights to celebrate our wedding anniversary, as part of a 5 week trip around Vietnam. We loved the Avani hotel!
From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel so welcome, and they threw in a couple of surprises for our anniversary - see photos... The rooms are beautiful, the balconies are a good size and directly viewing the ocean. The private beach and sunloungers are lovely. Beach service for food/drinks is also good. There are a couple of beach bars/restaurants less than 10 mins walk from the hotel, along the beach, which are both really good for cheaper food and drinks and if you’re like us, it’s nice to leave a resort and try out other places. We were also recommended a ‘very local’ seafood restaurant, about 15 minute taxi ride away in a nearby village. The staff arranged a taxi for us, and the driver waited 2 hours whilst we ate (cost was about £12 for the return journey and waiting time 😊). The seafood and fish was great;
The resort was quiet when we stayed (low season as we discovered), though I’m sure the attentiveness and friendliness of the staff is probably normal and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The only minus point (and its minor) would be that for a 5* resort we would usually expect a wider selection at breakfast. There is a reasonable choice of Western and Asian dishes but we have stayed in lesser starred resorts on this trip, which have offered more choice. Overall this is an excellent hotel - highly recommend!
