We wouldn't normally have looked for a hotel in Ragusa, however it was close to where my brother was getting married (that's why we went). The area isn't great for tourists as, apart from incredible architecture, there's not a lot to see. Everything closes between the hours of like 1pm and 6pm as well for the locals which was frustrating to us as that's when we'd be out and about.
In saying that, the hotel was absolutely incredible! The staff speak enough English for us to be able to understand each other and were extremely helpful. Whilst we were there, it was my birthday and they gave us a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine. The spa room is beautiful! You van reserve time to stay in there, at a price of course, but the price is reasonable, depending on how much you want to spend. Free continental breakfast was great as well! We booked in for massages the morning we had them as well.
Can't say enough good things about this hotel, just the area didn't really appeal to people our age (mid 20's). We'd recommend this hotel to anyone who's willing to hire a rental car so you can get to the places you want to see (the hotel does offer taxi's to destinations close by) p
