A guesthouse in Porvoo with self-check in. Beds are not so good. Shower and bathroom are great, just shared.

Nicer for a cool weather visit
It is located above a restaurant. When we were there it was too hot to close the windows or the blackout shades, so it was light and the sounds and smells (cigarette smoke) from the restaurant wafted in. It is also on a street populated by loud motorcycles all night long and some kind of project involving a lot of loud noises was going on in the shed behind the building one night. That said, it was a nice room, walking distance from the old town, and the staff was very nice and worked hard to keep the place clean. I think in the winter I would give it a much higher rating.

Away from traffic and still close to center
First time in this type of stay. Misleading building had good nicely renovated facilities. City center in walking distance. Only minus side was that room had no air conditioning (not very often needed for Finnish summer tho - unlike this summer). Would definitely recommend.

Huono sisäilma (home?), pakko pitää ikkunaa auki, liikennöity tie arkenakin ikkunan alla. Silmäystäkään unta kenellekään perheestä. Todella epämukava ja surkea kokemus.

Melkein kuin perhemajoitus
5 pv seminaarissa vaimoni kanssa Akan Folkakademissa ja sieltä 4 yöpymistä pienehkössä Guesthouse Strandassa. Erikseen tilattava aamiainen runsas ja hyvä. Palvelu ystävällistä. Tilat suorastaan kodikkaita. Suosittelen, jos jaetut vc:t ja suihkut yhteisissä tiloissa eivät haittaa.

厠所很清潔，樓上是客房，厨房在樓下，多了地方走動；由於浴室只得一個，若住客多的時候便稍嫌輪得較耐，如果桑拿房與浴室分開更好，那麼焗桑拿的人就不會阻礙其他人沐浴了。
