Best views. Awesome host!
We had the best time and John was an awesome host. This was our first time working away from home and taking some time off to enjoy the area. John was attentive but not intrusive. Very respectful of our privacy and at the same time we wanted for nothing. He’s got it down! And talk about a perfect location - best views in Taos while being within easy distance of town. The second we walked in the door, it felt like it had been our home forever. Excellent place to unwind, work, or both. Looking forward to next year so we can do it all over again. Thanks a million for the great experience John!

More than perfect
My husband and I brought our 4 month old baby girl to stay for a month at John’s place. It was hands down the best month of the summer and the home/location was even better than expected. The pictures don’t do this place justice! We enjoyed the patio plus all the windows to watch the sun come up and go down each day over the mountains. Plus you’ll have the company of the hummingbirds during appropriate months. The rooms are spacious. The wi-fi and cell service was excellent as we were working from the house and never had an issue. Good grocery stores are within a 15-20 min drive. There’s an excellent restaurant Old Martina’s about 10 minutes away. So the house has the feel of privacy and seclusion yet it’s really not! John is an excellent host and easy to get ahold of. This house is a super 5 star for us!

Ranchos de Taos
My family and I stayed at this property for 2 nights. The house was very clean amd the ammenties were great. John was great with the checkin process and communication. We had to leave early since our son had an allergic reaction to pet dander in the house. The property does state pet friendly. Make sure you have a suv...the entry road is rough.

Peaceful stay
I am a repeat guest to this property, and would highly recommend it especially for anyone looking for a quiet place. Johnny B's is very neat, well organized and well equipped. Johnny is very easy to communicate with and quite attentive to his guests. The casita is in a quiet area, about a 20 minute drive to the center of town. The setting is very pretty and you will be able to watch the birds at the feeders. In the summertime the hummingbirds put on quite a show. I would note that you need to walk down a slight slope (with gravel) to the front door, possibly a factorfor someone with mobility issues. I will be back!

Excellent and quiet.
John was an exceptional host. He was an excellent communicator, provided very clear directions to the home and regularly checked-in throughout our stay. His home is very well kept with very nice finishes and amenities. The views are incredible off of the deck during both sunrise and sunset. Would highly recommend if you are looking for a place outside of town with peace and quiet.

Enjoy the silence ... and the stunning views
I've been coming to Taos for twenty years, and I've stayed many different places. Johnny B's Casita is one of the very best. I'll be staying here again, and I'm recommending it to my friends here as well. The adobe house is new construction, superbly built – it has everything you want, nothing you don't. It's located in the middle of a beautiful forest with views of the mountains and the lights of the city below. All you hear is silence. If you're like me, you'll want to drink your morning coffee on the wrap-around deck and watch the sun rise over the mountains. Even though it's in a secluded location, it's not far from there thriving heart of Taos. You can have dinner at the Pizza Out Back and return to the solitude of the casita in 20 minutes. Did I mention that there's fast wifi?

Johnny “B’s” was perfect!
We stayed at Johnny “B’s” over New Years. The house far exceeded our expectations. In addition to the very cozy house, we loved watching the birds on the feeders while it snowed.

Great Relaxing Visit!
I would highly recommend John's casita outside of Taos. Well furnished and located in a semi-remote location (only mins from grocery, gas, etc.). Loved the scenery with the snow on the trees, places to hike and most importantly - it was quiet and peaceful! Would be back again. PS - Our dog loved the area.

Very lovely stay
We had a lovely stay at Johnny’s place. He greeted us when we arrived, showed us around, and even had the heat on so we wouldn’t be cold. He was easy to get in touch with when we had questions, and was so helpful. The house was lovely, with a great view. He has bird feeders right outside the windows which were very cozy to watch in the morning while enjoying breakfast. Its not too far from the town center either. It was clean and well equipped, and there wasn’t anything we missed while staying here. We had a lovely stay at Johnny’s and would recommend anyone going to Taos, to stay here. Thank you very much, Johnny B :-)

This is a really neat place. It's clean, well-equipped, and offers gorgeous views. The location feels remote, but the drive to town is not bad. We loved watching the hummingbirds in the day and the stars at night. Would definitely stay here again.

WOW...this is an amazing space
I have stayed in numerous VRBO homes over the years.. but this little casita is TOPS! Immaculate, with views of the mountains, the valley, Taos at night, and the Milky Way, it is convenient to all of N New Mexico. The two bedrooms are comfortable with thoughtful extras. If you like to eat in, the kitchen has everything you will need to cook up a storm. The deck off the living room is a wonderful place to watch the sun come up....or go down.. as well as observe the behaviors of at least two dozen ravenous hummingbirds. You are 15 minutes to Taos Plaza, convenient to both the "low" and "high" roads to Taos/Sanrta Fe as well as the "Enchanted Circle" to Red River and Angel Fire. Or, an hour to the Rio Grande River Gorge State Park or Ojo Caliente. The home is about a mile or so off paved road so during some times of the year, a four wheel drive might be helpful....but generally speaking this should not be a problem, monsoon season did not effect our ability to get in or out of the neighborhood. And, if you are a dog-lover, the home is great for our fur faces and the community has lots of space for walks.

Excellent all around
We had a wonderful time staying at Johnny B's. The house is very secluded and quiet, which is just what we were looking for. The hummingbirds were voracious and I sometimes felt like my sole purpose in life was to refill their feeders, but that was part of the fun. Even during the uncharacteristically warm days, the house stayed comfortable with its ceiling fans and adobe-style construction.

Great New Mexican Casita
The house was comfortable for 2 couples. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. The hummingbird feeders assured us of entertainment from many active hummers. We had a great view and hiking trails. When we texted the owner, he was always helpful and replied immediately. The only problem was 1 mile of rough gravel road, which you travel every day! l will return, after it is paved.

Off the beaten path
We really enjoyed our stay here. It was a bit away from the congestion of town and had a beautiful view of the mountains. The kitchen was extremely well equipped and the beds were very comfortable and everything was neat and clean. I loved watching all the hummingbirds at the five feeders all times of the day too. I definitely recommend staying here.

Beautiful views. Quiet spot close to a secluded hot spring.
Clean, spacious, beautiful home. Johnny B was easy to work with and we loved the place. Great experience. E sure to get directions to the Taos Pueblo hot spring hidden in the nearby woods, about a mile hike from the house.
