Nice and clean property. Big enough to not feel like it’s over crowding.

Big kitchen area. Bunk beds for us! There were some doubles. Nice mix of families couples and friends groups.
The living area chaise was damaged and needs replaced, but the single chairs were fine.
Small guesthouse but very clean. You have to check in across the street at a restaurant. The employee’s explanation was awesome and answered all my questions. Great place for a short stay.

The property itself is well decorated and comfortable. However, with 5-6 families sharing one bathroom and kitchen, it is a little bit crowded.
Definitely quaint and utilitarian. We ended up with a small room with a bunkbed and we are 66/72 yrs. Not a problem though we laughed at the whole prospect of who would be on top!! The common area was spacious and the people sharing were all friendly. There were friendly horses in the side paddock and the restaurant was very close. Overall for an overnight it was adequate and definitely a memory maker...
We had a wonderful stay here. The beds were so comfortable and the room was very clean. We ate dinner at their restaurant across the road and had the best Icelandic cod. Bathrooms were clean and shower was nice. I would recommend this place to a friend.

The shared kitchen and dining area are nice and spacious but the property is too close to Highway 1. Traffic is noisy for me and makes it difficult for me to sleep
Great little guesthouse with 7 or so rooms. Very nice and clean bathrooms (3, with toilet/sink/shower each) and main kitchen area. Best for couples or two good friends. Beds are bunked.
The location is great! We visited Skogafoss around midnight (in the Summer) because it was so close.

The facility was nice. The other people staying didn’t clean up the bathroom and left water all over the floor. The owner requested no shoes past the front door so this was inconvenient. My daughter was “yelled” at my someone while she was trying to lock the front door at midnight as we got in late.
Superb guesthouse. The outside does not look great but inside its comfortable, clean and sufficient bathrooms for guests. Key is collected from restaurant across road. Wifi worked well. The only thing i would have liked is a freezer as well as a fridge. Parking is just outside.
You pull up and don’t expect much. The scenery around a very plain exterior is amazing, at the foot of a mountain surrounded by a country farm. Then you go in and are greeted by a very modern and comfortable home. The room was roomy and clean. First time with communal bathroom and kitchen was an adjustment but fine. And the family owns the incredible restaurant across the road as well.
South Iceland Guesthouse was a great stop for the price! Situated on a beautiful farm underneath the mountains, it was gorgeous scenery all around. Our room was very small but clean and beds were comfortable. The shared bathrooms were good sized and clean. The family restaurant across the street was delicious!

Great Spot to Stay!
Great place to stay while seeing Iceland. The building itself is fairly modernized inside. We had two windows which kept banging open at night due to the strong winds, but otherwise it was comfortable and quiet. They even provided bread to feed to the nearby sheep!
My family stayed in the room for 4. The room is spacious and quite at night. The guesthouse is tidy, clean, and less than 15 mins drive to the two famous waterfalls on South Coast. The host is very friendly. Check in was easy. We enjoyed our stay.
Property is set in a very scenic location.
Room was big and spacious. Everything relatively new.
Kitchen had huge dining table and well stocked cutlery.
Two bathrooms shared across 7 rooms. Was quite clean. Morning hours after 8 am bathrooms got a bit busy.
Overall very nice property
