We had a wonderful stay at The Garage! Anna was so welcoming and informative. We felt very comfortable. The room was clean. The hot tub was lovely. We explored the surrounding area the next morning which was interesting.

We had a lovely stay at the Garage! Everything was perfect from the moment we arrived until the second we checked out. Very comfy room and great nights sleep. Was extra special because of the great view of the Northern lights! Thank you for everything. Our room and bed were very comfy and well equipped with everything you need. We Especially loved Ana’s chocolate chip cookies and the great display of the Northern lights!

We had an incredible time at The Garage during our Iceland trip. It is close to several attractions, including Skogafoss, Seljavallalaug Zwembad, Vik and Reynisfjara. The owner of the farm is incredibly kind, check in is a breeze, and the rooms are incredible - good size, great bathrooms with showers, amazing view outside your room with your own patio (at least for some rooms). We got a 2 bed futon room, and the futon was already set up for us. In the lobby, there were free pastries provided. The decor in the rooms and the building in general are homey and cute and there are little fairy tale/rat motifs in the room. There is a super informative and charming packet in the room written by the owners with a bunch of suggestions about what to do nearby and includes their own story, and the property has a waterfall, hot tub, and sheep and dogs on the property. The dogs will run up to the patios in the mornings and you can run and play with them, and the sunrise view is beautiful over the sea.

This was an amazing place to stay at. Me and my fiance arrived very late in the night, past their usual check-in time, and the owner was there to greet us and check us in. They even had homemade baked goods to offer us. The rooms were absolutely what we needed for the night; a big bathroom and shower, a kitchenette with coffee and tea options. The morning was just as good as the room comes with a walkout patio that faces the mountains and sunrise. I would highly recommend this place for the views and hospitality provided.

An Animal Lover’s Dream
Even though we only stayed here one night, this was by far one of the most memorable stays I’ve ever had. The hospitality, warmth, and cute little touches in the room were remarkable. The staff was extremely friendly, and the entire place was cozy and wonderful. The two doggie and kitty on the property was icing on the cake.

The property is an a quite, secluded area with a great view of the ocean from our patio. The owners are very nice and had cookies available near the reception area. Good kitchenette area and friendly dogs.

This is a great accommodation on the south coast of Iceland! The hosts are very welcoming and the property is perfect. It has a waterfall, horses, farm dogs, a hot tub, and lots of local cultural charm. We wish we could've stayed longer!

Really an incredible place. The Garage is a small slice of heaven. The room is quaint and cozy, the farm animals and dogs are very sweet and the scenery around the property is truly special. Our stay will be something my wife and I will remember for the rest of our lives. The daily fresh baked goods and Siggi (the owner) sneaking us some beer in the hot tub was the cherry on top.

1000/10 - Highly Recommend!!!
We hae traveled around the world and stayed at dozens of accomodations, and I think this was our favorite stay we've had. The scenery here is absolutely beautiful, and the Milking Pit (room name) had everything we could have needed and then some. To top it all off, they had a couple of very well behaved playful dogs and a cat that made our morning start off at a high point. The shower was the best we had in Iceland, and the kitchenette was perfect. We would absolutely stay here again if we come back to the area in the future and highly recommend this property to everyone!
