So our stay started off great! Lovey spacious family room with a smart tv to watch Netflix on so kids were delighted. However at around 12.30am the couple next door decided to have a domestic and our kids got scared listening to this. Adam the night porter moved us to another room within minutes of asking him. The room we got to smelled of smoke and paint which wasn’t ideal however the next morning we were moved to a similar room from the first night! In fairness the hotel couldn’t know that 2 w**kers would start killing each other but they done absolutely everything they could to facilitate us! Dinner was beautiful breakfast had a lot of choices and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly! I would recommend anyone to stay here it’s just outside the town so there’s no noise at night and a good nights sleep is guaranteed considering no one decides to be Muhammad Ali and Mike Tyson next door to you!! Thank you to everyone for your enjoyable and easy stay. We will be back again !!!

Wonderful place to stay beautiful area of Ireland to visit

The front desk staff were so nice and helpful with everything we needed. The breakfast coffee was amazing and the room so comfortable! I loved our stay!

Our weeks stay at the Herdsman’s House a few kms from downtown Sligo was magical. The accommodations were as advertised, impeccably clean, spacious and cozy at the same time. Spectacular views of Sligo Bay and the surrounding farmland. Sheep and cows in pasture surround the Herdsman’s House. Des and Mary made us feel like family, with great tips on places to visit, and what Ireland’s northwest has to offer. They also gave us a bit of the history of the community they cherish. We enjoyed this “off season” visit and highly recommend this special place, where farmland meets the sea. We are already planning a return visit. John & Lydia

As always very enjoyable stay, one complaint, wouldn't be for most people, room way too warm but better that than cold.

Staff very attentive and friendly in lounge/restaurant at night and at breakfast following morning. Plenty to do in Tubercurry including a theatre. The car park is at the back of property so you have to come in a back door and go all the way through breakfast room and lounge to get to reception. No heating on in room when we arrived and took a while to heat but was lovely and cosy then. Double bed ok for one but not so comfortable for two. Pillows were good tho.
