Won't be returning for awhile.
First off, the staff was lovely. My review has nothing to do with them at all. I was in town for a 2-week course and spent my second week here. This hotel is disgusting, or at least the first floor is. My room was at the end of the right hallway on the first floor. The carpet is stained all the way down and the smell is incredibly musty. The room was clean enough, but the sheets on one of the beds had a nasty stain on it. If you're looking for a hotel where the wifi works, look somewhere else. All week the wifi BARELY worked. I couldn't load a single website on my phone or laptop. I used the jacuzzi one night and the floor in the pool room is falling apart. Pieces of it were sticking to my feet and large parts were peeling away near the kiddie pool. The room directly beside mine was having reno's done and it was incredibly loud during the day. There was also some type of sport competition in the city, and team Nova Scotia was occupying the hotel. I used the side door to come and go from my car. Every night the parents would have a little party right outside the side door and were extremely loud, and it constantly smelled like weed in the side entrance and directly outside. All that said, I likely won't stay here again for a long while.

The floor in the pool area wasn't great. It was flaking off and small pebbles were always stuck to our feet. There also wasn't a suitable area to put our clothes/towels down anywhere, so they were full of pebbles ad well.

The hotel needs a major update, bathroom are in bad shape, tubs are badly stained, the mattress is very old the springs are poking through. Breakfast is minimal. We like staying at Days Inn but this one, we may not be back.

The hotel claimed that there was no first payment from Hotels and I had to pay the full amount. I was also unable to contact customer service at Hotels to rectify the issue. I need a Hotel representative to contact me to discuss.

Needs an update…again?
Stayed at this property a few years ago & had a great experience then. Returned here based on that experience only to be disappointed. Perhaps our room had not yet been updated yet despite the wall art being the same as what I remember from first visit. Check in was easy/welcoming. Front desk had a jar of cookies with tongs but no napkins and a giant bowl of Munchie Mix but no serving spoon. Room 105 is in need of some upkeep & deep cleaning. Wall lamps by beds need to be dusted & cleaned AND secured to wall again. Found exposed drywall stud by window after wall had clearly crumbled to the carpet. Food crumbs including pistachio nut found on carpet by nightstand in between beds..which NEEDS to be shampooed as it felt greasy. Furniture has seen better days. Mattresses need to be flipped & rotated. The bedsheets are microfibre, not cotton. Shower’s water pressure is weak. The bathroom fan did not seem to move air out of bathroom very well. Air in room was stagnant despite A/C & fan being on. Stains on ceiling above bed by window as well as in bathroom made me cringe. Decent breakfast: Apple/OJ, cold water, decaf instant coffee, brewed Folgers coffee, hot water, Red Rose Orange Pekoe tea, Fruit Loops, Raisin Bran, Milk, instant oatmeal packages, pancakes, syrup, butter, scrambled eggs, hard boiled eggs, cubed & seasoned hash browns, sausage rounds, salt, pepper, hot sauce, ketchup, yogurt, white/whole wheat bread, toaster, muffins, PB, jam, honey, bananas & oranges.

We stayed in the older part of the hotel which were the rooms with 2 Queen beds. The room was nice and clean. The hallways are a bit rougher. The complimentary breakfast is nice to have. Also the front desk staff was accomodating and let us check in early without an extra charge. The room rate is very affordable, and suited our needs.
