Quick Holiday stay
We booked the house for proximity to my brother who was hosting Christmas. Same neighborhood- 20 minute walk. That was great. The house itself was spacious and we were only there to sleep. But- the smell of hidden (car?) air fresheners assaulted us the moment we opened the door. It reeked of bleach and pine sol in the bed sheets too. After 2 days it was clear those were masking odors in the old carpets- there is an old yellow pet stain in the living room circular rug for example. Replacing rugs and old carpets would help a lot. Also- many of the outlets and lights did not work which was difficult especially coming in at night. That said these are small fixes that can be made to improve an otherwise spacious house.

Poorly furnished
The manager was great to work with, but the property is poorly furnished and finished. The towel rack came down because it was not installed correctly. The toilet seat was not installed, it was just sitting on the toilet. There are several small rugs covering up stains in the carpet. The shower was uncomfortably narrow. The sheets were so thin you could barly move. All of the furniture is from a box and poorly put together. This is a nice house in a nice neighborhood, just poorly finished.

Exceptionally clean. It is a very quiet, private setting. We were travelling with our dog, so the securely fenced back yard was perfect. I enjoyed sitting out on the patio in the morning soaking up the sun with our dog. The house has a good layout so our family of four all felt like we had enough space. The kitchen had everything we needed, coffee maker and a good toaster, large fridge. My husband and I found the king mattress uncomfortable. I think it is newer, just not supportive enough for us. The owner was very responsive and purchased and delivered a mattress topper to make our stay more comfortable. We enjoyed our overall stay in this pleasant home.

It’s a house in Reno
This place was just ok. As the title states it is a house in Reno. Nothing spectacular. Cleaning fee seemed ridiculous seeing that they ask you to wash towels, start up dishwasher and take cans to curb! Nice that they had shampoo, conditioner and body wash in both bathrooms but it would have been even nicer if they had been labeled! Not knowing which was which, we did not use. The end.

The home is lovely and close to everything you need for your stay. There were a few things that could use attention. Shower faucet hard to turn. Master bath TP holder falls off the wall. Lightbulb out in Master. Seat in 2nd bath needs tightened. No lid for the large frying pan, No baking dishes. You will need to bring your own spices and condiments if you plan on cooking meals at the house. Other than that it was a very nice stay.
