Bathroom door could not be shut at all, there was mold along the bottom edge of the shower glass, toilet seat did not align with the bowl, the room was WAY smaller than listed, "marina view" could not be seen from the tiny window (you get the parking lot view if you're placed in a basement room), "heating" advertised in the listing means a portable heater that you have to turn on yourself, if placed in the basement floor, you will hear footsteps and chair scrapes from the floor above you at 4 am (probably the restaurant).
As well, the photos of the hotel—both interior and exterior—are NOT reflective of reality. Photoshop must have been used here to enhance the appearance. Even the paint color of the exterior is not the same! I was deeply disappointed and reached out to Expedia to follow up, but the hotel refused to issue a refund. Urging Expedia to investigate the property, as it does NOT meet the 9.0 rating it currently has. I'm flabbergasted at the high rating. This was the worst stay during my 13-day trip in Iceland and I'd stayed at 8 different accommodations.
The only pro from the stay is that they permitted an extra guest for the single room at no additional cost.
