I did not regret choosing Hotel Fron for my stay in Reykjavik. The location of the hotel is great, you can basically walk for the main landmarks. There are two bus stop #6 & #14 that are about 5 minutes walk where you can meet for tour and airport transfer.There are many restaurants , bar to go to. The hotel look pretty cute, nothing fancy but perfect. The staffs at this hotel are nice. I would highly recommended this hotel.

Nice hotel in great location

Room was nice and spacious, plenty of room to spread out. Bed was comy. Bathroom was tiny and shower was hard to spin around in. Water pressure wasnt great either (hard to rinse thicker hair thoroughly). Wonderful location and price tho. Overall happy and would stay again.

The hotel’s location was great (could use better signage- it’s across the street from the gelato shop). The staff was very helpful with any request. It’s less than a six minute walk to bus stop #6 where there is pick up and drop off for tours. The room was comfortable and clean. TV has English channels. If you use a wash cloth (I do), bring your own (I did). The breakfast was okay. There is selection of foods, but nothing hot.

Hotel Fron was a great pick for staying downtown, the room was comfortable and it is in the middle of many restaurants, bars and shops, the church is just a short walk away. It still was quiet in the room. The free breakfast is a real plus (especially considering prices in Iceland) and the staff was very helpful. If you have a rental car, there is a parking garage two blocks away with good prices (the staff can give you the address).

Great location

Very nice hotel for a 2 night stop right in a convenient part of Reykjavik. The breakfast was great and appreciated, rooms were clean and beds were comfortable! I would book here again. I wish the staff seemed a little happier and eager to be there. Still, the location, cleanliness and amenities deserve a 5 star 😊

Fabulous staff and location on the walking street! Great breakfast and lamb soup dinner in its restaurant. Yummy ice cream across the road. Only improvement comment is to have a non slip bathmat for use outside the step down shower since I nearly crashed into a corner glass when slipping as I stepped out !

The smell from the water was unbearable. We suggest to keep the bathroom door closed. If you have a candle or incense, try that. There were stains on the couch, along with a burn mark. The water pressure was the worst that we have ever seen. Strange, because the water pressure in the kitchen seemed fine, but the shower was just a trickle!!!

The hotel itself was fine, but was not too happy after incorrect information given by a hotel staff member resulted in a $400 morning trying to get back to the airport. When I arrived, they were out if guest parking (fine), I then asked the reception attendant where i could park overnight and he gave me the address of a parking ramp nearby. He did not mention that you can’t get the car out until 7am despite having a code with the ramp and I had a flight the next morning at 7:30am. This resulted in a $200 taxi ride to the airport (yes, Iceland is insanely expensive) and another $200 fee for the rental company to go pick up the car. All of this could gave been avoided with some communication as it was not clear that once your car was in the garage you could not access it with your code between certain hours.
