Shipyard location was cool and close to tourist imax exhibits on one side and concert venue on the other while charming town in front of us. The bus stop was a short 3-5 min. walk to hotel. Very cool retro vibe of hotel; friendly staff and big breakfasts.

Excellent hotel, no problems whatsoever. I had a comfortable room facing the harbour. The hotel restaurant was excellent. Reception staff were also excellent, friendly and very helpful. The bus to the airport picks up just down the street. A good location a short walk from all the sights of Reykjavik.

There is a shipyard that is sanding big ships all day long and it is loud. The good thing is we were out all day long and the noise stops after work hours. There is no free parking, but free parking is very close by and plentiful. The location is just outside the perimeter of downtown so it is very peaceful and quiet at night. Plenty of dining options nearby, yet 8 minutes walk and you're at the big church.

Marina hotel
This hotel is an eclectic and comfortable place to stay close to all that is Reykjavik. We stayed here 3 nights because it was close to a lot of what we wanted to see. Plenty of parking behind the building. They have several rooms you can hang out in and a restaurant on site. We enjoyed drinks and snacks one night. Our room had a balcony overlooking the marina. One of our favorite restaurants was a block away alongside several other restaurants to choose from. There also was a bagel/bakery that was open early where we were able to get breakfast sandwiches. We were fortunate to be able to see northern lights 2 of those nights right from our balcony!

The hotel had a lovely relaxed atmosphere and staff were helpful and friendly. There was a lot of choice for breakfast which was served from an early start of 6.30am until 10.00am. There were lots of different seating areas which were all tastefully designed. Our room was on a touch on the small side, but warm and quiet (facing the marina). We also liked the L'occitane products in the ensuite. There was good access to town and ample free parking in the marina. We would definitely recommend staying here.
