The apartment is in a great location for exploring downtown Reykjavik. We walked to many downtown attractions and restaurants. Access access to the apartment was easy via a key lockbox system. The living room was spacious, the kitchen was well equipped, and the bedroom had a comfortable bed and a roomy storage cabinet. All of these rooms were quite clean. The bathroom was cramped for space and had an old look about it. The wifi was excellent. Although I never met in person anyone associated with the apartment, the correspondence via email was quick and helpful.
In case you're driving a car, the biggest drawback to this apartment was the lack of parking. There is parking on the street outside the apartment, but it is free only from 6pm until 9am the next morning, and by late afternoon the spaces were usually all taken. If you want to leave your car parked there for the entire day, the cost is about 14 USD. Some free parking is available on some nearby streets; however, it's not always clear which spaces on which streets can be used for free, and there did not appear to be many parking spaces available anywhere. The first day we were there, we drove out of town in the morning, and we returned in the afternoon about an hour before parking became free, and thus managed to get a space until the next morning for minimal cost. The second day, we wanted to explore on foot, so we paid the $14 to be able to leave the car nearby all day.
