Overnight stsy
Beds comfortable, dog allowed to stay. Excellent breakfast. However there was a cloying smell in property, even with windows open.
Awful beds. The room smelled moist. Spider webs around the windows, one spider was walking on the table and later the other one on the door. Not an ensuite room as shower and toilet both are outside. The only good point was parking

Very disappointing
Booked breakfast on first morning of stay but no one got up to prepare it. No one answered phone or emergency numbet. Had to drive to Rhayder for breakfst. Room not made up at all during stay.
Hosts not friendly.
Stayed here 2 nights June 2022, clean room, comfy bed, great hosts and delicious food. The pub side of the inn doesn't open till 5 pm but that suited us as we were out sightseeing all day. The Tien if Rhyadar was a 5 minute drive away. Would definitely return if we are in the area again
Lovely overnight stay in this quirky, quaint pub. Family room very nice. Hosts were so welcoming and even cooked a special pizza for our son. Food/drinks in the pub very reasonably priced and huge portions! Breakfast was fabulous. Local clientele very friendly too. Would re-visit if in the area again in future.
Fantastic friendly inn in the middle of Wales. I'd been cycling all day and arrived to friendly chatty team at the hotel, couple of good pints and a tasty dinner. Good value for money & perfect for walkers/travellers.
I arrived to check in very late but the hotel was very happy to make sure someone was available for my arrival. Owner was very friendly and would definitely recommend this hotel.
The receptionist not interested nor helpfull. The bedroom allocated had not been cleaned or prepared -dirty linen, wet towels, dirty dishes....
Damp musty smell throughout the building. No other room was offered although we were the only guests. The linen was changed while we went out to dine.No breakfast offered. Received a free drink for the inconvenience. No one was there in the morning to greet us - just posted the keys through the letter box as instructed on a piece of paper on the door. We were very very surprised to see the positive comments in the visitors book!
A really memorable stay, and a welcome stopover. We stayed here for a night as we cycled across Wales - we were running later than expected and phoned ahead as evening was beginning to fall. Sean and the team were so understanding and accommodating, and kept the kitchen open so we had something to eat once we'd arrived - they didn't have to do that, but we were so grateful! A wonderful refuge after a day of cycling the mid-Wales hills - thank you..!
Lovely little place, amazing people and service. They all were extremely friendly and our 3 years old son and dog were treated with extra special care, which was lovely. Very clean and
Made to feel welcome as soon as we arrived. Comfortable nights sleep and a fantastic breakfast. Only downside was that our room was not en suite but we did have a private bathroom just opposite the room so no real issues and we were aware of this when we booked.
